Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceNothing we didn't like really. The room could maybe use an extra chair though, as there was only one.
The room is very clean, bright. The location is exceptional for the price, 2-min walk from San Pietro, 1-min walk from Subway Station Ottaviano, with a lot of restaurants, cafés, and shops around. Last but not least, the access to the room is very easy and the staff very responsive.

United KingdomThere are issues with the plumbing, I could hear water in the pipes throughout the night, but it is an old building. Also woken up by host and other guests at 1am having a dispute outside our door about their check in. The room was abit dusty and found several woodlice in the bathroom.
Bed was comfortable. Great location. Felt secure. Hosts were attentive. Having a fridge was helpful. Basic accommodation, you get what you pay for.

NetherlandsWhat I really missed in the room was AC because it was so hot in Rome. It was hard to sleep with the heat.
The location was nice. only downside is that the metroline close to the hotel was under cunstruction. Otherwise it would've been perfect. It was a decent room nothing special. We enjoyed our stay in rome.

CanadaThe worst thing was an air freshener left in the room that made my friend have an allergic reaction, we found it and took it out but in the bathroom, there was one that was attached to the wall and no way to air out the bathroom so that was not good. Speaking of the bathroom, I paid for a private separate bathroom under the impression that had I not paid extra we would have to share with other guests. When we arrived my friend asked if the bathroom was private and the person helping us said there were bathrooms in the other rooms, if I had known that I would have saved my money.
it was a good value for a city like Rome, wouldn't say the location was incredibly central but it was super accessible and had everything around including a Metro station. It was quiet and clean, and definitely met expectations. Also decently large for a place of it's kind.

Czech RepublicOur room had an external bathroom (it was entirely ours). Even though I am not disappointed as I had expected that, for it was written on the reservation, I still think that it was a bit annoying, having to take the keys to the bathroom and going to the other end of the hall everytime I wanted to wash my hands or go to the toilet.
Clean room and very good locality. There were a lot of very good restaurants and bars in the area and it was close to the centre and metro station. The ceiling fan helped a lot during the heat. The staff was also very pleasant and helpful. The price was excellent for a room in the heart of Rome during the holiday season.

United StatesWe were visiting Rome in January, winter. The heat comes on automatically twice a day, which turned out to be semi-okay. There were some parts of the day where we were sitting in the room cold. That would be my only hang up of the property.
The property manager was very nice. They came and cleaned the room often which was nice. The location is a short walking distance to the Vatican and to the train station…So getting around Rome was a breeze and very convenient. For the price it’s a great stay.

Indianot much to dislike!! I have mentioned above few things that one needs to be aware of.
Finding Roman Holiday Rooms during evening/night can be a bit challenging however barring that - I guess not much to complain. The room is decent, in long long time I haven’t seen a spacious shower as Roman Holiday Rooms has! To enter to your room you need to go through 4 doors (maybe a bit hassle for a few people but I guess it must be the same with all the nearby buildings). First you enter through the main door, then there’s another door following which you need to climb stairs and on I guess first floor you have one corridor consisting of 7-8 rooms that are under Roman Holiday Rooms. You have the door to enter this corridor and finally your room door. I believe there are few rooms which don’t have an attached bath but we opted for one with that but I guess the shared ones must be good also. The staffs are very helpful and polite. Once I arrived at the facility, there was a guy who helped me with all the formalities and later somehow I managed to accidentally snap the key following which the guy told me that there will be someone with a replacement key soon, guess what I somehow slept and woke up after an hour yet the staff still came to provide me the new key. So you know how helpful they actually are!!! You will hear everything that people talk outside the room, it’s not soundproof but then I am pretty sure most of such buildings have the same issue, it wasn’t a dealbreaker for us. Also, in the bathroom they have a room spray kind of thing attached to the ceiling and that spray is activated every 5-10mins, the sound is similar to bats in the night :) so don’t worry no one is inside the room except you, haha ;) It’s pretty close to the metro and within a km to Vatican City. You will have tons of places to eat and shop. Overall, nice stay!

SpainPrati was a great neighborhood. I really enjoyed the laid back, neighborhood atmosphere. Because it was on the metro line, I was able to walk or ride anywhere I needed to get to. The room was quiet and there were several nice places to eat nearby. I especially appreciated the staff. They were welcoming and accommodating to my schedule. The room was also very clean.
