Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOnly downside is that the hotel rooms are looking very tired and in need of an upgrade. Our room was quite small, but on a previous occasion we had a very spacious room.
The hotel is in a great location. 2 mins walk from The Duomo. Tram at front door, eateries everywhere. Staff are most helpful. We have stayed here previously.

UkraineVery tiny room. And disappointing view from the window :(
Location is very good. I was unlucky to get the room at the end of the corridor on the ground floor and the window overlooked a cluster of air conditioners. Inspite of this, I’m rather glad of my staying, because the bathroom was clean, the bed was clean and comfortable, there was air conditioning, and in summer it’s a big advantage. Nice hall with a big mirror and amazing vase

IsraelI recently stayed at this hotel and encountered a couple of issues that could be improved. There were not enough electrical sockets in the room for charging devices. In fact, only one socket was available in the room, while the second one was located in the bathroom, which was quite inconvenient for charging smartphones or other electronics. Additionally, the bed wasn’t very comfortable, which affected my overall rest.
I loved the excellent location, which made it easy to access nearby attractions and amenities. The staff was incredibly helpful, always going out of their way to assist with any requests or questions. Their friendly and attentive service really made the stay enjoyable and hassle-free.

CanadaThe tram stop was located at the front of the hotel. It was very noisy. We were told that all rooms faced the street and there were no other options.
The hotel is very close to attractions, amenities, and trams. It is a great location.

SpainThe hotel is a bit old and the room is small. It's ok if you are alone and don't intent to stay too much time in the room.
The location can't be better. Two two-minute walk from the cathedral and the metro station. The staff was also super friendly and helpful.

The location was perfect! Our Room was comfortable, but not so clean, you could notice a dust sometimes and there were some leftovers from the previous guests as we guessed(cheese in the fridge and an opened bottle of water . However everything was great and comfortable for us.

SlovakiaWater pressure in the room was a bit weak but I guess that's understandable for a high floor in the old building. At my arrival I was not warned that a key to the room should be handed over on reception every time you leave the hotel, so I took off the key chain, as it was very heavy to carry around. That was not met warmly by a receptionist who was working later and from whom I found out that I have to hand over the key. Please either inform about your policy at check-in or don't be sour with your guests when they don't want to carry a massive key chain.
Amazing location with Duomo just around the corner. Great AC in the room that helped escape August heat. Nice breakfast with very good coffee.

AustraliaThe mattress of my bed needed replacing, one side had failed resulting in sleeping on a slope. I was tired enough though that this did not adversely affect my sleep. Admittedly, I forgot to raise this to the front desk during my stay. A minor thing, but some venting for the fridge in the wardrobe would be a good idea. As it is, it heats the contents of the in-room safe which sits above.
The hotel was very easy to find with the directions provided by the management. 3-5 minutes walk from the metro with luggage. Location was fantastic. You're basically staying at the Duomo. I had the expectation of an older building and single room being small so this was not an issue. The 14ft ceilings helped make it feel larger. Bathroom was fine and decent size, though larger framed people may struggle in the small-ish shower unit. What was a very pleasant surprise was the breakfast served each morning. Full hot (sausage, bacon, eggs) and continental options, beautiful coffee made upon request. That was unexpected and definitely exceeded expectations. If you're an early riser, take advantage as not many open local options prior to 9am on weekends.
