Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only downside is the lack of air conditioning, especially in July. Sleep was very uncomfortable and only fans were provided. I would guess this apartment would be great 10 months out of the year, just not in July and August.
Location is great, very close to the colosseum and Forum. Close to some shops and restaurants as well for easy meals and drinks

United KingdomThere wasn't a lot of natural light; it felt quite dark. The little garden didn't seem to get the sun - perhaps only in the Summer months? Some of the kitchen stuff hadn't been cleaned properly by the previous residents, and the kitchen itself was rather cramped - no counter space for preparation of anything. There's a lot of steps up to the road from the Metro Cavour to the road where the apartment is - perhaps easier to get out at Colloseo Metro.
The Location was very good, very near to Metro Cavour, one stop away from Roma Termini. The Colosseum is only about 5 minutes away walking. The apartment was a good size, better than the photos. The bed was very comfortable, and the wardrobe space, with hangers, ample. The bathroom had enough space to put things, and the shower very good. There's also a washing machine in here! The kitchen has a nice table and there is a coffee machine with coffee supplied, and a kettle and a toaster and various cups, plates etc. There's a very comfortable couch in the living area, and a lovely courtyard too! There was good wifi and phone. The apartment also has central heating , which was lovely and was needed in March!

RussiaA beautifully furnished apartment just a five minutes from Coliseo with a cozy terrace. Elena was very helpful and welcoming hostess. A great alternative to a five star hotel for a better price.

IsraelShower is weak. Additional bed is not very convenient. During wet weather it is hard to dry laundry. The apartment has no elevator and in order to reach apartment from the nearest metro station need to go up a long stairway.
Very good location: close to Colosseum, metro station and parks. The apartment has beautiful terrace. There are washing machine, fridge, gas and small but convenient kitchen. All is clean and stylish. Hostess is very friendly and communicative.

United KingdomWe had such a lovely stay Residenza Sette Sale, Elena was the perfect host and gave us lots of recommendations and little goodies! The apartment is in a great location, very quiet with a lovely terrace and has everything you need. Don’t be put off by the lack of air-con, there were 2 fans when we stayed and they worked great (we stayed when it was about 32 degrees C). I would definitely stay here next time I’m in Rome!

LithuaniaI don't advise to stay there during summer time. It's just too hot, since there is no air conditioners.
One of the best things about this apartment was the location - central part of Rome and about 10 minutes walk to the Colosseum. The other best thing was the patio right outside the living room, where you can relax in the evening. Moreover the hostess Elena helped us a lot, so have to say she is a great, kind and really helpful person. Thank you very much! :)

United StatesThere is very little to dislike about Colosseo Residenza Sette Sale. It offers an opportunity to experience living in a historical home and everything that goes along with it like a small shower and the absence of an elevator. That’s about it. Everything else is perfect.
Elena review We loved staying at Colosseo Residenza Sette Sale which is located adjacent to the plaza where the Basilica di San Pietro in Vincoli stands, and is the home to Michalengos’ statue of Moses. The basilica is hidden away in Rome's Monti district, not far from the Colosseum. Many good food, cafe, vintage shopping, the Cavour Metro station, and bus lines are just below a flight of steps to the right of the building. The Colosseum is around the corner across the plaza. Elena welcomed us warmly despite our late arrival. She prepared a basket full of pasta, Amatriciana sauce, recipe, and a variety of breadstick, coffee/tea. We cooked the pasta in the fully equipped kitchen following her recipe which was perfect. A warm welcome to Italia! The flat is homey with one bedroom and ample closet space. My son slept in the convertible sofa bed in the living room. We all slept soundly in the comfortable beds. We love the private courtyard patio right off the living room. The apartment is right up one flight of steps.

BulgariaThe kitchen is almost non-functional. The coffee machine and some of the hotplates were not working well. There was only one key and we were traveling with large children, which made access difficult.
The location is good. The amenities provided were insufficient and we had to request them additionally.

United KingdomSmall shower with fluctuating temperature and very low pressure can only use hand-held shower spray, no shelf for toiletries- poor condition. Kitchen, no worktop space at all to prepare food. No useable plugs next to bed so couldn't use electrical items whilst in bed.Power in whole apartment cut out whilst using oven, which also turned hot water off. Had to wait on 2 occasions for someone to come out and sort water/power. They did however react very quickly and tried to be as helpful as possible. On leaving the property, Re: having to raise issues with shower not working and power cutting out we asked NOT to leave a negative review. We said that was an odd request and that we would be leaving an HONEST review because it was only fair to future people considering booking. There are plenty of lovely places to stay in Rome, on this occasion we would not recommend this property.
Position is good close to Metro station. Apartment nice and warm in Feb. However, garden in shade so too cold to use. Probably nice in Summer though. Contact very helpful suggesting places to visit/eat and responsive to problems with water/power. Speaks good English and is helpful. Bed comfy.
