We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ItalyThe building is historical, as is too be expected in the city center; so the rooms have been renovated but some elements are old, for example the floor is made of wood and is squeaky, the lift cabin is quite vintage. The sound insulation is also not great.
Fantastic location in front of the lake and close to the cathedral, very friendly and helpful staff, cosy modernised room with all the essentials.

Location top notch. 2 mins walk from ferry station. Perfect place to allow you to explore the other islands and lake Como with being so close to the very station and also at the shipping center and duomo nearby. The unit is spacious. Two rooms one with table and pullout couch and tv and other with very large bed and bathroom to the side . Updated bathrooms /modern. Better than some 4-5 star hotel bathrooms. Building is an older building so it has a lift but it gets job done. Rooms are located in second floor with large staircase so access is not much of an issue. You are given keys to outside doors in case you come back very late and need access. The host is very accommodating and wonderful person.b Very organized check in process. Breakfast is included with adjacent cafe closer to water and wonderful food

United KingdomNothing springs to mind. If anything we would have expected to pay a bit more for the location but I suppose pricing is dictated by local competition. Suffice it say that we spent the previous night in a renowned hotel in another town (not Italy) and paid almost 5 times the price we paid in Como. It’s debatable which place was better.
We missed out on breakfast and it wasn’t entirely clear how that worked. But we prefer to eat out anyway so not a problem.

United KingdomThe room was on the corner so noisy at night with traffic. The julian balcony was great so left doors open, so our fault. We did not use the air con but if we had guess it wouldn’t have been so noisy.
Great room & superb location. Perfect for all the sites & 2 train stations so very close as well as the ferry’s. Loads of restaurants, cafes & bars No Need to drive walk everywhere

SwitzerlandParking is very complicated and careful planning is required if you are to arrive by car. The room has only a generic key to protect your belongings from other rooms of the hotel/apartment. I with there was a proper key so that guests could feel safer.
The location is just perfect, close to everything (restaurants, lake, boat, funicular, etc.). The building is beautiful and the room is quite new.
