The portions of the food are quite small. The dinner service is sometime chaotic and a bit all over the place. There were basically no vegetables on the menu or salads not great if you like lighter dishes or are vegetarian or have intolerances. The breakfast was the same everyday and could have used some variation. The beach is beautiful but the sand is disappearing so there’s not much space and the water rises sometimes.

The location is beautiful in the middle of a forest very green and very calm. The hotel is extremely clean. The rooms are really spacious and the staff are incredibly friendly. The pool is really well kept and clean with lots of sunbeds for you to lie on and lots of shade. Elisabetta was exceptional and provided 5 star services making our stay even better. The food was good, great wine. Would definitely return. The beach beautiful and is only 10-15min walk under the shade of the trees.

There were no activities for adults in the evening, but we did find our way to keep entertained.

Everything, the staff and the location are amazing, the studio was clean and comfortable, the residence is pet friendly, perfect if you have a dog. Pets are allowed to the restaurant and the swimming pool. Food at the restaurant was fantastic.

You should not choose this place because of its private beach. You pay the same price for sun beds as places a few minutes further with much nicer beach and facilities.

Tranquil setting yet close to city and beaches. Clean villa’s with basic needs. The nice pool is set in a relaxed and cosy garden with a bar. Always enough sun beds and shade. The owner is service focused and very supportive to help with any requests or recommendations. Restaurant serves good food and friendly staff.

We wouldn’t recommend 2 floor apartments for families with little kids and old people - the staircases would be tricky for them.

Beautiful apartments and charming territory with lots of greenery- flower bushes. Perfect pool area with relaxing zone under olive trees and a nice bar. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. Manager Andrea is extremely attentive, helpful and guest oriented. We felt ourselves at home.

Loved everything about Altair. The accommodation is spotless clean, well equipped and spacious, all the staff but especially Claudio and Andrea go above and beyond their duties to make your stay enjoyable. The pool area is so tranquil, spotless clean, beautiful setting for relaxing before or after some sightseeing. Otranto is a beautiful town, we will be back. For a stay in September a car is essential to explore the beautiful region.

As it was very windy we did not spend any time at the private beach, so we cannot comment on that.

Very friendly staff! The entire residence is clean, with a lovely pool area, comfortable sunbeds all around the garden. The cosy restaurant offers fresh Italian dishes, very good. Again with friendly service. Our room was spacious with a terrace, relax chairs. Inside lots of space, good beds, quiet area. We had a great stay. Otranto and Lecche are nearby if you have a car.

A little old. Kitchenette a bit dingy. But bathroom very good. Relaxing to sit out the back of the apartment also. Road driving a little crazy as expected, the middle of the road apparently is not the middle of the road. Bring a good book also.

Very relaxed property in a good location. Staff lead by Andrea are very chilled. All the family enjoyed the pool area. Some music at night. Easy close by access to a good quality beach, with chairs and shade booked through hotel. Easy access to many eating options all around the area and further afield. Lecce 50 mins, great fun swimming at Porto Badisco. Aircon not bad. A great holiday had by all the family. Ostuni a great option when heading back to the airport

Kitchen needed some update, there were also some things missing. Childrens playground was not properly safe for use, the garden also needed some work done, there were wired fences lying around not safe for children.

Surrounded by beautiful nature, apartments are nice an comfortable, suitable for summer time, when raining it was very cold inside. Apartments are also very spacious and kitchen solidly equiped. The pool was exeptional, clean and put in a nature with trees.

What could have been better is the breakfast. If you like sweets I think you are okay because there's several options. If you like salty, not so much. There's cheese, ham and turkey or salami. But the days we were there the cheese would run out well before breakfast was over and they wouldn't refill. Also there's a problem with the bees, they are all over the ham so you don't want to eat it. They also take over the juice and then you have dead bees floating on the juice. I think the bees are an issue that should be resolved somehow because it's a pity. Apparently there were eggs but there's a sign hidden in italian, so if you don't see it or understand italian, you don't know you have can ask for them. There's a bar by the pool but the day we decided to stay by the pool, the bar was closed the whole day, no clue what happened. One last comment, there's a kitchen but no oven, microwave nor anything to clean the dishes, so if you cook once during the day you are done basically, you can cook something on the electric stove for lunch or dinner, not both.

The residence has a very large pool with many loungers and chairs. You can also walk 20-30 min and get to the beach but there's also a "train" car that takes you there, although you have to get back early if you want to take the train back to the hote. The hotel staff is very friendly. The apartment had quite a good size and overall I would say it's good value for money. I think we would stay here again, you can really relax and enjoy the pool and beach. I think if you come in July/August it can be quite crowded so not sure how much you would relax though. September was fine.

There is nothing we didn't like!!

There are not many locations where the pictures on the website are accurate. If anything, the photos do not do justice to this little piece of unassuming paradise. We discovered Altair by chance, but we will be back. The food in the restaurant is sublime, crafted with diligence and genuine interest by Mauro. The host, Andrea, is both professional and very friendly, always helpful and attentive to all our needs and always full of useful information and suggestions. The rooms are spacious and spotless. And the pool is absolutely perfect, set in mature and beautiful greenery - the perfect place to relax. Altair is a short ten minute walk to a unique beach with reasonably priced sunbathing paraphernalia and nice bars for a bite to eat or a cool drink
