Beautiful property with quirky interiors in a very convenient location to visit Parma. Our hosts provided us with lots of information about where to eat and where to park in Parma which was extremely useful. The breakfast was amazing…all home cooked and local and a great selection of food served in a lovely breakfast room. Our host packed up the breakfast we didn’t eat for us to take away for lunch. Wish we had stayed longer than one night.

An oasis just outside the town of Parma (5 mins by car) . Francesco was a great host and the breakfast is amazing. Library in our suite was fantastic.

Just be aware that the property is on the outskirts of the city, just off the highway. Once inside the grounds you do feel as though you’re in the countryside, but you can still hear the nearby traffic.

Francesco and his wife were wonderful hosts. Great communication and support before and during the stay. The property is very charming and the breakfast was to die for.

The space is furnished with antiques, beautiful and authentic. Eclectic and lovingly gathered you can tell. It did however have a bit of an “antique store” odor… I didn’t want to use the wardrobe. Small price to pay for the authenticity of the B&B.

Charming B & B, very homey and quiet! The breakfast was delicious, the bed very comfortable, the host very gracious and helpful with recommending good restaurants in the area and sites to see! I would not hesitate to recommend this B & B to anyone visiting the city of Parma.

A bottle of water per person and a hot water boiler would be nice in the room.

The hosts Francesco and Angelica were very kind. The property is a renovated farmhouse and it is very quaint and charming. Breakfast is impeccable with all cakes made by Angelica.

Beautiful history property, exquisitely maintained. felt like a trip back in time to an 18th century Italian farm house. Francesco and Angelica were fantastic hosts, from the communication up front, check in, the delicious and highly personalized breakfast, to seeing us off at the end.

The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, giving suggestions and making reservations at restaurants.. The breakfast was fantastic, wonderful bakery items all homemade and delicious. What a marvelous spot, tucked away and quiet, on a beautiful property. The home was well-decorated and quaint in the best way. We loved the decorations and charm of our room, enjoyed walking around the gated property, and our interactions with the hosts were very positive. The couple who owns the B&B went above and beyond with all the little details and the breakfast, in particular, was phenomenal, including homemade, lavender-infused panna cota. The B&B is slightly removed for the city center, so a car or taxi will likely be necessary, but it is absolutely worth it. You will wake up to the sweet smell of the garden and the birds, rather than city noises. We will return to the B&B Pomdere Merlo if we find ourselves in Parma again.

Beautiful place at the gates of the city of Parma. We liked the breakfast which offered a good selection of traditional and local products. The owner was very friendly and suggested several local restaurants and shops which turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. We’ll come back.
