Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing! All was great
The room is super comfortable and the window view is just breathtaking 🤩🤩. The staff is very polite and super friendly. The food at the restaurant was quite good and the property also counts with a lounge/bar area, great for relaxing after a long walk in the mountains/ski day while enjoying a drink/ snack. The restaurant is open for breakfast and for dinner, which is very convenient if you are leaving early or too tired to go down to the town centre to dine. The location is perfect. A short walk downhill to the town centre and the ski lift is literally in front of the hotel, just going down the the stairs.

United StatesBreakfast hours 7-10. I arrived at 9:45 and everything was taken down. Orange “juice” was watery orange drink. I grabbed a banana and the one remaining piece of sliced baguette.
Directly across from the cable station and within five minutes of the town center. Full facilities including bar and restaurant.

NorwayIn the room there was a light smell from the drain, so we opened the window and we were close to exhaustion from the kitchen 🤦🤦 Anything so bad , anyway
Comfortable hotel conveniently situated close to the cable car which is perfect for skiers and hikers Helpful staff (we had the chance to take a shower just before midday after skiing on the glacier and before leaving 😁😁) Good breakfast Wi-Fi works well Unfortunately there is no garage but the public parking is just a few steps away

GermanyA big drawback was a missing free parking close to the hotel. The parking lots of the cable car were not for free. We parked next to the tunnel of Breuil-Cervinia ~10min of walk. For a hotel of that size I also expected a better breakfast. We also didn't really like the dinner, that's why we visited a restaurant the other night. Maybe it's better in the winter seasons. However, for our short stay of two days everything was fine.
The hotel has everything that you need for an exciting hiking journey with a very nice view of the Matterhorn. The room was big and had enough space to store all your luggage. It's close the cable car where you can reach the Monte Rosa plateau for summer skiing. It was a great experience to see that.

SwitzerlandWhen checking in, the staff did not ask me to pay the residence tax, but they did when I was checking out. My assumption is that the staff needs to be very adaptive to the situation, especially in these kind of locations where people most probably tend to have a schedule for ski, hikes, bike etc. - for example, if you are checking in in the afternoon/evening most probably the guests are not in a hurry to go skiing or a hike so this (payment of any additional costs) can be done then. Because if you are checking out early in the morning and have the whole day a hike program, you dont want to waste time for such additional tasks.
This is one of the best locations in Breul-Cervinia due to the very close distance to the main cable car. Literally you can see from your room window whether the cable car is working or if there is a big queue. Also a very nice view towards the town. From the hotel you can directly take one of the hike paths and go up which also adds to the great location.

AustraliaParking is a bit tricky but you can leave your luggage and park down the road (about 7 minute walk). Dinner for 60 euro is okay value but the food isn't amazing. Tricky time of year so not much open so provided a good option.
Perfectly situated next to the chairlift. We were hiking from the lift so made it very easy. Breakfast included had lots of options and was excellent value for money.

United KingdomFree parking too far away for us to walk back to the hotel up steep hills. We are 76 and 78 years so probably OK for you young people. We parked across the road in the lift car park which cost us €40 .
Location close to ski lift. Decent prices in the bar. Good atmosphere. Good dinner with excellent service.

Saudi ArabiaOnly 1 room was a bit stuffy as it was facing inward and I think there was a kitchen exhaust there which was making heat and hence flies. We had to keep the window closed which made the room too warm for April winter.
Staff were incredible, especially Ines, and super helpful and friendly. Rooms were a bit small but very nice. Proximity to the ski lift, just a 1 minute walk, was incredible.

PolandUnfortunately no garage available and just a few spots in front of the building for loading and unloading. ( A large public parking is available very close but it is uncovered and ,of course, unguarded. There is a gym, but no sauna. Just a bit overpriced for the service provided
Good Hotel, located close to the lift to Plateau Rosa. Kind and helpful staff. One of our rooms had some problems and we got upgraded to a bigger one. The hotel is very quiet being in the outskirts of the village. Fast Wi-Fi , good breakfast (there could be a wider choice of cheese, cold cuts and eggs )

The hotel and room were clean and modern, and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent - the lovely staff appeared every day with a basket of gluten free foods to supplement what was already on offer. The room had a fridge which was very useful. Great location close to the Plan Maison lift and only a short walk from the town centre.
