Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere is nothing not to like. Exceeded all my expectations and ask my family… I’m hard to please.
Absolutely everything. This palace has been restored with such attention to detail. It is family owned and run by 2 sons, Giuseppe and Fernando along with their parents. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The level of hospitality was outstanding. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere the service is so personalised. Prior to arrival Giuseppe was emailing me and giving me suggestions for my upcoming stay and all questions answered promptly. All I can say is don’t hesitate to book this place, you won’t regret it. Best location ever. I didn’t want to leave and I will certainly be back.

This palazzo is a historical building in the middle of the old town and in short walking distance to the beach, renovated to best standards for accommodating guests, decorated with antique pieces of art, all managed by a lovely family making you feel at home during your stay. Giuseppe and Fernando, with their parents Raffaela and Mimmo are a fantastic team spoiling you with individually prepared breakfasts on the spectacular terrace, giving expert advice for site-seeing as well as cultural and culinary delights. If you like to experience Southern Italian hospitality, this is the place to go! GRAZIE MILLE a tutta la famiglia!

At Pascaraymondo Suite Palace every detail is respectful and sensitive in this exquisitely renovated historic building. The walls, the choice of colours, the whole restoration is perfection. All working together, this beautiful family has treated us with such kindness and generosity and many smiles. Nothing has been too much trouble.

All was perfect. The Situation very close from the beach was amazing. We were looking for relaxe time with an access to the sea. This place is perfect for that specially beginning of May/June.

Warm welcome by the family, helpful with luggage from car to hotel. Interesting historic facts about the palacio given by the brothers, who clearly run the Palacio with dedication and pride. The whole Palacio is tastefully renovated without loosing its historic character and everything looks well maintained. Extensive choice of drinks and breakfast items by pre-order but unlimited extra’s when so desired. Breakfast was either in spacious breakfast room with historic murals, or on the sunny roof terrace overlooking the town and sea and always served with a big smile. Overall, service was warm and friendly and really made you feel at home at such very special place. Can’t think of a better place to stay in Gallipoli.

SwitzerlandWhere to start? Everything was perfect. From the beautifully renovated palazzo from the 16th century to the very warm welcome of the whole family! We had a gorgeous stay and we will certainly come back as we felt like members of the family. Thanks a million to Giuseppe and Fernando for their help: they were always available and gave us great explanations and tips for restaurants. And we have a special thought for Mimmo and Raffaela, their parents!

FranceNothing, our stay exceeded our highest expectations...
We stayed 2 nights in the Giangiacomio Dell'Acaya room at Pascaraymondo Suite Palace and were absolutely thrilled with our choice. The vaulted-ceiling room is spacious, elegant, beautifully decorated with antique and modern furnitures, the bed is very confortable. The bathroom is modern with a big shower and all necessary amenities, fluffy towels and slippers. Everything was pristine clean. Breakfast was amazing, with a-la-carte choice of locally-sourced sweet and salty products and housemade delicacies by Rafaella (the mum-in-chief of the house :-) ). Rafaella made us taste the fresh riccota she uses. It was still hot from being made and we had never tasted something so good ! Breakfast is served either on the rooftop terrace with a breathtaking view on the gulf of Gallipoli or in the main foyer, surrounded by centuries-old frescoes ! The palace is ideally located in the heart of the old town, steps away from the beauties of Gallipoli (cathedral, churches, old palaces...), restaurants and bars, the beach and parkings. Yet, we found the place serene and peaceful for a good night sleep. But the heart and soul of Pascaraymondo Palace definitely resides in the amazing family who runs the place, Mimmo and Rafaella and their two sons Giuseppe and Fernando. They will all go the extra mile to make your stay a moment to remember ! Giuseppe and Fernando are some outstanding young men, very dedicated to their guests with all the energy it takes to provide you with all necessary information from day one, great advice on restaurants (Amu Fish was our favorite !) and anything you could ask for. Communication was flawless ! Mimmo is passionate about the history of his hometown and will tell you everything about it. He took us on an improvised tour of the city and we couldn't have had a better guide ! Rafaella will make you feel at home with her great cooking and generous smile.

United StatesThat stayed 2 nights only.
Where do I start? I guess from end/ conclusion: it was like spending time with a family while being away from home. This aspect is greatly appreciated by a solo traveler like myself. From communication & picking me up at the train station upon arrival to packing some food to take with me for an 8 hour train ride to Rome. In between: delicious breakfasts from a wonderful a la carte selection made freshly by the "Mom"; a private boat tour arranged by Giuseppe and his Mom Raffaella went with me to keep me company; dinner recommendations and reservations; lovely conversations on different topics with each team member throughout my stay. Giuseppe, Fernando, and their parents, Raffaella and Mimmo, welcome their guests as members of the family and handle everything with true care. The palazzo is gorgeous and stands out from other buildings around. You see how people wandering the streets stop to check it. Rooms are impeccably clean; bathroom amenities, including bathrobes and slippers, are of high quality; you can see attention to details in little touches. Roof terrace with a nice view and where breakfast is served weather permitting, a beautiful sandy crystal water beach within 5 minute walk, a nice seafood restaurant with daily fresh catch options literally 10 steps away, and many more advantages when staying at the Pascaraymondo Suite Palace. However, the warm atmosphere created by the family and great care are what makes you want to stay here again.

This is an amazing place to stay when visiting the beautiful Gallipoli. The Palazzo is stunning, our room was very well appointed with a gorgeous shower and a divine terrace where we ate breakfast and spent hours watching the sunset and the sunrise. The hosts are a beautiful and gracious family who did their utmost to make our stay perfect. The breakfast treats cooked by Mamma were absolutely delicious. The sons, Giuseppe and Fernando were so helpful in the palazzo and were eager to share their deep knowledge of Gallipoli in English! We spent 2 nights and were sad to leave.

Breakfast, Sitting in the terrace over looking the city was such a wonderful experience. Fresh fruit, local home made delicacies & great coffee. The family helpful & accommodating to all requests, and provided great recommendations for dinner. Location is central & you sleep in a beautiful & immaculately restored 16th Century building.
