The waiting staff are a bit slow to take your order or return with drinks.

Amazing location in a very exclusive part of Florence with great restaurants and parks close by. It’s a 1.5 mile walk into the city centre, but it’s through pretty streets etc. The hotel itself is very old world charming and everything moves at a very slow but gracious pace. The rooms were lovely, much like Gleneagles in Scotland. Breakfast is extensive, but very Italian so don’t expect any western alternatives.

The only item I would comment that could be improved would be to have a large container of water available to guests in one of the common rooms. It was very hot in Florence the week we were there, and it would have been nice to have fresh cold water available.

Perfect oasis away from the bustling city centre of Florence. Walk 20 minutes to town or a quick bus ride. Super comfortable rooms and pleasant common areas and pool. The breakfast, which was included, was AMAZING. Our adult children were very impressed. Staff was so helpful, and called cabs when needed.

The hotel is remarkable. It is wonderfully appointed, maintained and staffed. The breakfast is truly impressive and made better enjoyed on the porch overlooking the pool and grounds. Our visit was lovely.

It would be nice if the hotel had a restaurant or provided sandwiches when we were tired and didn't feel like going out. In Italy, nobody delivers food like in the US.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I loved the staircase, and I used the elevator for the suitcases. Tho pool was beautiful as was the landscaping. I just enjoyed the whole setting and experience. The two restaurants next to the hotel were really nice.

Nothing, loved it all.

Hotel park place is an absolute oasis amongst the busy city. It sits above the town up on a hill that is a delight to walk up and down. The staff is superb, they tolerated me speaking terrible Italian with a smile. The breakfast was delicious, and I loved the villa. I was very sad to leave.

Pool was outside and was cold. I suppose it was middle of May when we were there Reception was hidden and therefore wasn't very welcoming. Dinner was very small and not much of a choice

The Alcova Room is essentially an attic with a tiny window that makes it feel a bit claustrophobic. This didn't bother me too much but it would have been nice to know ahead of time that the room was like this, and if I had a choice. I wonder if this is reflected in the price?

Breakfast was excellent. The grounds and pool are beautiful. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I liked being out of the crowd of central Florence. The walk to town is very beautiful and pleasant.

We weren't allowed to take an iron into the room so had to use a room by reception and take our clothes down there.

This is a fantastic hotel and really feels full of history and character. The room was huge including a separate bedroom for my daughter and huge bathroom with double sinks, bath and separate shower. The staff were really helpful and happy to help. The location is just outside the main centre which you can walk but beware, coming back is up quite a steep hill so you may want to taxi/uber. It took abput 20 minutes to walk down to the main centre of town.

The location is terrific. It feels like you are out in the Tuscan countryside yet it is only a 20 minute beautiful downhill walk to the Ponte Vecchio. The bus back stops right outside. The house is beautifully furnished, the rooms very big, with comfortable beds and high quality bed linen. The breakfast was superb and the staff friendly and helpful.

This hotel was absolutely Great !! the location was a 20 minute walk from the river crossing into the city ( also a $1:50 bus ride , with the stop being steps from the front door). During our walk, we discovered an amazing restaurant on the right side of the road 4 minutes down the road! Another fabulous restaurant is even closer to the property . The hotel was gorgeously decorated and the staff was so friendly/helpful . The woman that tended to breakfast was lovely !!! And the breakfast spread was over the top with selection and quality. And, if that wasn’t enough, the veranda overlooking the pool was the perfect setting for dining. A MUST STAY

We liked everything with regards to the hotel.

The hotel is located in a beautiful area and surrounded with lots of vegetation. Breakfast was abundent and very good quality. Room was spacious and the heating was excellent due to the fact that the outside tepreture was very low. staff very friendly and profesional. In front of the hotel is a bus station, which was very convenient.

The chairs were a little small for my bottom. I felt the overall price of the place was a little on the expensive side. There were terribly loud road works going on outside the hotel. Of course, this wasn't the hotel carrying out these works, but I do wish I had known. It meant relaxing in the gardens wasn't possible.

Epic spread of sweet and savoury morsels to break our fast. Overlooking a garden and a pool to sip on coffee and dine in a leisurely way. Emanuela was there each morning. She was so attentive and kind.

The hike to get down to city center was nice but I suggest a taxi for coming back up. The bathroom tiles could use a little cleaning and mosquitoes in the room. The hotel provided mosquito repellent machine but I still got bite up.

The hotel was charming and quiet. It’s located away from the crowd/tourist area. Breakfast was good and had something for everyone.

No advice upon arrival of how to access the safe or where it was however on asking staff about this they were helpful. Distance from main historic part of city. You could walk to town in about 40 mins but it was down a steep hill/road and of course same challenge if walking back up steep hill/road. Taxi cost to city approx 17 - 20 euros each way. There was a taxi strike on one day of our stay so this highlighted the hotels remoteness. No fresh fruit at breakfast.

Surroundings were restful. Comfortable bed. Wonderful shower. Soft towels. Clean. Age of property so much character. Helpful staff. Leaving room key with reception when going out was a good security feature as can’t lose it. 24 hour reception. Storing luggage upon checking out until time to collect. Eating breakfast overlooking garden and pool. Polite staff.

The internet in the room was very bad. If you are staying at the villa, please mind the location (it is located slightly outside the city center with a walking distance of around 30min; public transport is not there but not really reliable).

The villa is very picturesque, and has a very comfy fireplace lounge where you can hang out. My husband and I enjoyed the breakfast, it was a nice selection of savory and sweet options. The room is located not in the main villa but external house but still very nice and spacious.
