There's not much to critique at all about Palazzo de Barone. The made to order breakfast every morning was consistently delicious, the small dinner menu lives up to all expectations. The grounds themselves are gorgeous, along with it's accompanying view and the staff are more than accommodating. We took the cooking class with Chef Anna and it was a highlight of our trip! Everything was 10/10! Could not say better things about our stay!

Without sounding too American, less than 50% communicated well in English. Made direction/route finding challenging. I recommend asking for a pin drop of shuttle stops and for arrival/hotel location. Entrance road is not easily accessible by standard car.

Friendly attentive staff, excellent service, shuttle service into/back from Sorrento, luxury products and comfortable accommodations, beautiful view and gardens, lovely pool, delicious dining, exceptional included breakfast, numerous special touches that enhanced the stay. We didn’t have enough time to schedule a cooking class, but it seemed amazing in transit.

Incredible service, staff make you feel like family. Lots of lovely like-minded couples there with us. Great location with FANTASTIC views as well as the free shuttle service that the hotel offers to and from Sorrento town, making visiting the town and getting to the ferry port easy. Would return again in a heartbeat.

The property was amazing , well maintained , clean . Rooms were also very well designed and comfortable with an outstanding balcony . The property has a very homely feeling while having the hospitality and services of a hotel. They serve you breakfast in your room which is very well plated and curated and is absolutely delicious . While being about 10-12 min away from the city centre which could cause a bit of a problem In travelling , they have complimentary shuttle services every half hour to take the guests too and fro city centre and hotel. This saved us a lot of money in transportation. The shuttle service is on time , the cars are clean and well maintained and the drivers are very helpful and friendly . Among all the fabulous things about the property mentioned above , what truly stood out for us was the hospitality of the staff . They were extremely helpful and friendly . They helped us with a very easy check in , check out . They contacted us two days before the check in on WhatsApp and were available 24/7 on WhatsApp to assist us with everything that we needed. I am in no way related to the property , this is truly an unbiased review . I generally do not review hotels unless I truly have a great experience , and this was one of them.

The place is very very beautiful. The location, view and the room itself. It is not in the city itself but there is very comfortable-with personal shuttle servise. We were off season so they could be flexible and the shuttle was the time we wanted. They offered it also to capri ferry port. The most important thing is the very nice kind and helpful stuff: the amazing reception women the owner, the lovely manager, driver, waitress cleaning lady. The breakfast was very good . Over all an amazing place! Thank you

The hotel runs a free shuttle back and forth to Sorrento centre which was great but it doesn’t run all day and we felt a bit stuck a couple of times.

Lovely little hotel in a quiet location. Staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The cookery school was a great addition to our stay. We enjoyed the pool and the gardens are beautiful.

The location was great to relax, but if you want to come and go it is far to walk to the shopping, beaches and restaurants.

The house was amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful with any needs or questions. The property and view was beautiful and allowed for a very relaxing stay. It is quite small when compared to a large hotel which I thought was very nice and allowed for more personal service, The cooking class was also very fun and allowed us to meet some really nice people from around the world.

None of the reviews anywhere, nor videos we found on YouTube, prepared us for how amazing the property truly is. From it outstanding location with magnificent views of the bay, the Vesuvius and cities across, to every single detail in the beautifully appointed villa and gorgeously landscapes gardens. The place is truly amazing. The staff, everyone of them, amazing. They all made sure our visit was memorable. No words enough to offer our thanks for this.

The shuttle bus provided was an absolute necessity, the cabs from the centre of Sorrento up to the hotel was €60, only a 10 minute drive! Maria, who drove the shuttle bus was so lovely, unfortunately the last bus at night was 11pm. However, without being where we were we would t have had the amazing view of Sorrento.

The breakfast was made to order by their wonderful chef, the food was very tasty, we sat in an orangery to eat, loved it.

AC could have been a little bit stronger.

If you stumble across this property when looking for a place to stay in Sorrento, you can stop searching because this place is exceptional. The staff was always available to help, they asked what we wanted for breakfast the night before and served it to us on the terrasse. They also offer lunch by the pool as well as dinner. The facilities are gorgeous and the view from the pool overlooks the coast. The room was very clean. They have a shuttle every morning until 10:30 A.M. to bring you into the center of the town and in the afternoon/evening from 3:30 P.M. on. This service is extraordinarily appealing because it allowed us to be away from the noise in the center of town. The cooking class was an additional activity we did while we were here but it was definitely Westernized. We would without a doubt stay here again.

A/C was relatively weak & unable to cool room but it was likely because it was hot 32 high & 27 nighttime low. Otherwise the 6 rooms in hotel are very well updated incl usb ports in electrical outlets

The hotel is far from town so you are reliant on the hotel shuttle to get around
