The only improvement that we could suggest would be some cold bottled water in the fridge and conditioner for hair in the bathroom. However, these are minor recommendations.

This was one of our favourite hotels in Italy. Charlie and Manon were great hosts and provided a delicious four-course breakfast - the scrambled eggs and bircher muesli hit the spot. The property has been beautifully renovated, and is located right on the central promenade in the old town. Our room was enormous, the largest we've had for our whole trip in Italy, and was super comfortable.

Absolutely everything! The hosts are a dynamic duo - from their warm engaging manner to their fascinating life stories and to their delicious breakfast; they could not have been more helpful! The property was stunning, extremely well positioned and superbly appointed. Everything was so elegant, clean and comfortable.

Absolutely nothing to dislike

Large, bright, 3 windows with balconies overlooking the little streets so you can watch the passers by below. Great shower in spacious bathroom. Charlie and Manon are polite welcoming hosts, we asked about a good restaurant and Charlie booked us into I Latini, 7 mins walk away (see separate review). Our breakfast the next morning was unique. Instead of the usual business of going to and fro to get oranje juice, cereal etc, we were seated and Manon and Charlie served us. Amazing Swiss style muesli (secret recipe) and a delivious selection of cheeses, jams and breads. They were attentive and informative hosts and we chatted a long time over breakfast. As mentioned in other reports, we had been conerned that noise from the street below might have kept us awake, but once the windows and shutters were fastened, we did not hear a sound. A truly remarkable stay in a perfect location, a shame it was only for one night. Would definitely return here, great base for day trips to other small towns nearby.

They whole place was exceptional as were our hosts. The rooms were a form of art in their own right. They were spacious and well appointed. The rooms were immaculately clean. Breakfast was exceptional. If I could rate our time at Palazzo Charlie 11/10 I would! We'll have to try to return on our next trip.

We had a well appointed big room in the heart of old town with fully functional AC (this last part is crucial in August). Charlie and Manon are excellent hosts, serving breakfast each morning and doing lots of little things to make sure we had a memorable stay.

Fabulous large room in a beautiful apartment, with 3 large patio doors and amazing views of the old town. Everything was beautifully clean. Our 4 course breakfast was totally delicious. Hope to come back one day.

Perfect location, exceptional room and facilities, and a high-quality breakfast—plus, the hosts were amazing! We absolutely loved our stay in Lecce; it was even more romantic than we expected. The room was very spacious, and despite visiting in early August, the air conditioning kept us cool. With local restaurants nearby, everything was simply perfect.

The location was perfect, just inside the old town and a short walk to the centre of Lecce. Parking was a short walk on the outside of the old town, so it proved to be a great base for visiting other towns and cities in Puglia. Breakfast was excellent, prepared and served by Charlie daily, my wife really loved the cheeseboard. Manon and Charlie were great hosts, lovely to chat to and were able to give us some useful guidance on restaurants and where to go and what to see. Overall we had a really lovely experience staying at Palazzo Charlie

The Palazzo is beautiful and has been elegantly restored by its equally elegant owners, Manon and Charlie. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, bathrooms modern and furnishings tasteful. The local artwork around the hotel is interesting and adds to the ambience. A highlight for our family was the rooftop terrace-spectacular. We enjoyed meeting the owners and hearing about the renovation. The attention to our travel details, arrangement of 2 airport transfers, delicious homemade breakfast and recommendations around Lecce were appreciated greatly. Many thanks Manon and Charlie.

Property was very well presented and the couple that run it were exceptional hosts. Location is great, inside the old town, but quite near one of the gates to the old town. Which means it’s only a couple minutes walk seen as you can’t drive in the old town.
