Lots of stairs do no good for someone not mobile

In a great location and building has a lot of history and great rooms.

However, the Air Conditioning is very noisy and not efficient. Management should have a serious look into the AC situation asap . No mini bar in rooms :(

Well... it couldn't be helped since the building (a former Palace) is over 600 years old. Let's just say we got our stair master workout!!! Lol.

The staff was excellent, very attentive,helpful. The view was excellent, we had a suite with view of the Grand Canal, like a story book. The cleaning crew was excellent.

Very interesting property close to central square. Room was spacious with excellent facilities. I was transiting through Venice for a night only but the graciousness and warmth of the staff is what what remember Private transfer to the Airport was a fantastic ride

There is no elevator but the staff helped very kindly with our luggage.

What a beautiful hotel steeped in history and grandeur. Our suite was spacious. Love that it was full of books. Lovely common room looking out over the grand canal. Great location, we were four small bridges away from St Marks Square. A gondola stop and several restaurants on the doorstep. A 10 minute walk from Santa Maria del Giglio port where the Water bus dropped and picked us up from the airport. My son was remarking how comfortable he found a blue armchair in the common room. I'm not sure if someone heard him but when we returned to the suite later that day, the armchair had appeared in our room! Grazi to whoever did that. My son was delighted. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hope to be back to this beautiful city one day.

One day our hot water didn't work but they let us shower in a different room. Electrics were a bit hit and miss. No towel rail in bathroom.

The bedroom lighting was a little too dim

The staff are more than helpful. The day we arrived we got soaked in a storm. Riccardo got warm towels for us while we were in reception. He also went out of his way to help me print boarding passes and bus tickets . We had a most excellent meal in the stunning dining room. We ate on the balcony. Carlo treated us like we were royalty and made it very special and memorable.He was so attentive. Aliyah was also so kind and helpful with timetables for busses etc and helping find a warm place to dry all our clothes that got wet in the storm

The location of the property was excellant. The history of the building and furnishings in the main building were very in keeping with Venice, I only wish our room in the Annex was of the same standard although it was still very comfortable and very spacious. Unfortunatley Venice lacks good plumbing and the shower preasure was terrible. We were told this could not be fixed so accepted that our showers were not as we were use to in this modern world. The staff in the restaurant were lovely and the view from the restaurant magic. If you are staying in Venice then I would would reccommend this hotel for a short stay.
