As my stay started before the beginning of the main season, I was transferred from Palau City Hotel to Palau Grand Hotel; communication concerning this was minimal: a short phonecall without much explanation a few days in advance, followed by written confirmation on request. The furniture did not really fit the size of the room - most notably, the chair at the table blocked the way to the wardrobe and to the window, so it had to be moved around all the time. In the beginning, the refrigerator in my room did not work, nor did the second refrigerator which I received as a substitute; the third one was fine.

A clean and solid accommodation at an affordable price.

I really liked this accommodation. The staff was very helpful in everything we needed all the time. Our room was really good and the only downside was that the door of the furniture where the mini-bar was in was slightly broken so we had to be careful to avoid breaking it even more. For the rest, everything was perfect and the location couldn't be better!

Breakfast was bit expensive ( 12 euros per person per day ) compared to other locations -- but coffee was free. There was a safe in the closet but the key was gone so it could not be used (front desk staff said previous customers had probably taken the key with them).

Room was clean, spacious. Balcony had a nice view. Free parking in the lot across the road. General store is 2 buildings over. Grocery store (SPAR) is 4 buildings over. The harbour and the shops are 10 minutes walk away (shortcut is to just cross the abandoned rail line on the other side of the parking lot -- the locals have worn an obvious path in the grass/scrub).

Good location: near to center, port and supermarkcet is very close. Clean nice room and nice balcony for drying towels etc. Stuff was helpful and big parking is just in front of the hotel. Good value for the money.

the breakfast looked bit overpriced so we just bought cereals and juice for kids. if you travel in six people breakfast is sometimes too expensive for what you get. there was something smelly in the plant pots on the staircase other than that clean and nice hotel.

great place to stay in Palau. Clean, bright rooms with good a/c and nice bathrooms. little balcony with views of the sunset. easy to park for free across the road and there is a nice cheap pizzeria, grocery store and drugstore two minutes from the hotel. walking distance to the harbour
