It was good location! Quiet and cozy also the people who stayed there were very nice and friendly! The bus stop was right front of the hostel! But there was only several buses a day so you might be better to take a 9:00 morning bus ride to get La Spezia!

    Nothing.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Locker size was great. (I got my own lock. Not sure if they have any to rent out.) Loved the shower! hot water came out quick and strong. Food (extra charge) were good (I bought one diet and one breakfast).

I didn’t have problems with catching the bus but just be careful that they run once per hour on the weekdays.

I was only here for 2 nights but I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I arrived on a Sunday, which meant there wasn’t many bus I could take to get from the station to the hostel (I would’ve had to wait 3 hours or more) so Paolo kindly picked me up from the station. The hostel was lovely, everyone was really friendly and I felt a strong sense of community. Biassa, the town, is a small one but it was a nice, needed break away from the big cities and tourists. It was quite easy to get to the Cinque Terre towns, but just be careful of the bus frequency.

No kitchen; be aware that in off-season the bus to Riomaggiore is just going on Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Quiet location in a small mountain village, bus connection, lovely staff, very clean, comfortable beds, living room that makes it easy to socialise, breakfast and dinner, fridge, microwave, kettle

Too small showers (68x63cm), except one large, painful upper bed ladders. A bit too expensive dish at 9€ in the evening

Position next to a bus stop, nice common places, spacious rooms, allowing darkness during night. well provided beds with covers, excellent stuff

If you want location and be in centre for everything this place might feel like it's further away. We didn't mind it so much as we love the feel of small villages. Biassa is so perfect.

Very friendly host. Hostel is situated on the mountains of small town called Biassa. Place is very clean and has a good vibe about it. 24/7 staff available. Good facilities we met some great people in the hostel too. Highly recommend this place for soli travellers wanting to make new friends. You have to take a bus to/ from la spezia centrale and riomaggiore. Which is actually fun as you would be taking it with your pals from hostel as everyone is preety much doing the same thing. A nice small shop located in the area. The shops sells 1 euro espresso and bus tickets. It's very cute.

Ostello Tramonti is like a family home where people come to gather in a beautiful & tranquil place surrounded by nature. It’s perched in the hills of a mountain among very wonderful residents! It’s a place one can chill and be one with nature. The owners, Micol (breakfast chef) & Christian (reception cavalry) , and their staff Paolo (reception & dinner chef) & Stefania (dinner head chef) treat you like family! The place hops for breakfast & dinner as everyone eats breakfast & dinner together like one big happy family!!! Yes, the hostel has a wonderful bistro with very good food & reasonable prizes!!! Ostello Tramonti has spacious & clean facilities - lounge/dining & huge dining areas that are nicely appointed. Everyday, the entire hostel is cleaned from 10-3, when everyone is out n about! Since it’s up in the mountains, it’s so quiet and serene. Thank you, Micol, Christian, Paolo, Stefania & cleaning crew for making my stay so wonderful & restful!!! I’ve met & shared wonderful travel stories with a lot of the guests!!! It’s like a family getaway mountain retreat!!!

Don't count on breakfast. It's better not to have it at all.

All amenities are present. Shared bathroom, washing machine, toilet in common access. About the kitchen, here you can have a delicious dinner, the choice is not great, but enough. There is also a small bar for aperitifs or something more)

If there is something negative it's that the rooms are a bit tiny if it's fully occupied but still alright.

Very friendly staff, helpful, dedicated. Calm and beautiful surroundings, good vibe. Nice garden to spend the evenings. It's obvious that the people who work there pay attention to details and do it with passion.

A coffee machine so you can have a coffee at anytime would be nice but I am nitpicking because I am a coffee drinker.

At first I was in doubt whether to book this accommodation because of the location, it is not in La Spezia and not in one of the villages but it turned out to be the best decision. I did some excellent walks starting from here and the connection to La Spezia and the villages was super-easy. The staff was very warm, welcoming, went out of their way. I ate there every day, the food was delicious, definitely at those prices. The chef went out of his way to make sure we liked the food. Even the breakfast and coffee was superb. The atmosphere between staff and guests but also between the hostel and the villagers was remarkably warm and positive. I cannot thank them enough. I might go back!

Unfortunately there was hair on both of our beds, and the breakfast was inadequate. It was little bit disappointing overall.

We liked the location, however since we arrived by car, it was quite hard to find a parking spot nearby.

Not many bathrooms for number of rooms, would be good to have more hooks or shelves in the bathrooms to put things while you shower.

At night there is hot, because they do not have air conditioning. There is only one pizzeria nearby. The nearest good restaurant "Colle del Telegrafo" is 30 minutes away by walking.

For 6 euros I got scrambled eggs, piece of bread, yogurt, an apple and a cup of juice. Location is 25 minutes by bus to Riomaggiore or 2 hour walking. In the backyard I played ping-pong, get some drinks from bar and played board games. On the second floor, there is a big TV, where I watched a movie with friends.

The upstairs room was really hot - with beds on opposite walls, the single desk fan didn't really reach either side. This is probably the time of year that I was travelling, but the hostel seems better suited towards very young travelers in their late teens/uni students. They don't have a kitchen so they can sell you food and drinks so it ends up being more expensive than other hostels.

Staff were friendly, lovely outdoor courtyard

You must be ready to allocate some time to catch the buses according to their frequency.

The staff were very kind and friendly. The location is perfect for disconnecting from the tourist area of Rio Maggiore, yet there is a bus stop in front of the hostel (mind the low frequency). Delicious breakfast.
