Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The boutique hotel is located in a quiet area, although it is on the street with some traffic, you can barely hear any noise. 20 minutes walk to the center it was perfect for us. Beautiful room, old and historic with class. Comfortable bed. Travel amenities in room, like shampoo and soap. Super safe. You have to go through 3 doors with codes to get inside. Area was clean and host was very nice.

Paolo and Francesca were so friendly and kind and gave some really good restaurant recommendations. It was lovely to relax in the room after a busy day sightseeing in Florence (the centre of Florence was only about 15 minutes walk away). The suite was perfect for our young family for a few days in Florence!

AustraliaFrancesca was lovely and always available to provide advice and support. The room was perfect and very spacious and they made it up everyday which was a nice surprise. There is a little fridge in the room as well as tea and coffee facilities so it was convenient. The apartment is about 15mins from the station and a bit further to the main areas, but that was fine. There is also a tram stop about 7mins walk away. The building has a luggage lift too, which was convenient to get the suitcases upstairs. Thanks Francesca!

Triple glazed windows were excellent soundproof from the traffic and air conditioning was great in the unseasonal heat. An oasis of calm after the frantic overcrowding of the centre of the city. The location was just a little further from the train station than I realized; it would have been nice to know that I could have caught the tram and made my walk easier (we did that upon departure).
The host was lovely and the room was very clean and comfortable. The location was just out of the main tourist hub, but still within easy reach.

From the day of arrival, Paolo the owner host is very very accommodating. He went out of his way from translation, to taxi, car rental, and best local recommendations on his favorite restaurants. Amenities like a chilled bottle of Italian Prosecco was not expected but most appreciated. local made crackers and Italian chocolates were also part of the amenities. Very personable and warm, Paulo generally cares for his guests and well-being. we highly recommend Opera boutique when traveling to Florence.
