Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaEverything was more than perfect! The host gave us a perfectly clean room with everything we needed. He even gave us an iron, and we had a powerful hairdryer in the bathroom. The room was comfortable, the towels were clean and soft. The breakfast was delicious and the host even made us fresh juice every morning. He also gave us useful information about the places we could visit. We are really impressed and we highly recommend Cagliari Old Town B&B. We haven’t encountered such an impeccable service before!

Set in a building from the 1500s is this friendly, spacious bnb. The host was exceptional with a spectacular breakfast every day serving one speciality of sardinia, along with fruit, fresh juice, eggs, toast, and coffee. Every day, he would check what we wanted to do and help organise from bike rides to cruising, beach towels to restaurant suggestions. Rooms are spacious, well equipped, comfortable beds and offer a small courtyard area to dry some handwashing or sit and chill. Wifi worked really well, too. Position is so good with lots of restaurants around and access close by to parking, tours, shopping, marina.

PolandThere is literally nothing we have found missing or uncomfortable
Location - simply perfect, we flew to Cagliari, took a train which is right next to the airport, one train stop and we're in Cagliari, then 7 minutes walk and we're here. Located near the Marina, bus stop at hand reach, historical old town is up the hill, location is simply perfect. Want to go to the beach? No problem, take a bus and you're there in a blink of an eye. Want to go to the old town? Just walk up the hill and after 10 minutes you're there! All great restaurants and stores are just next to you. 10/10 Rooms - Stefano really takes care of his guests, rooms are exceptionally clean, comfortable beds and lots of space. One thing I missed is the view at the marina but you can just walk outside and you're there. Room are cleaned daily, towels on demand, fridge outside the room with cold water and ice if you want it etc. We've chosen an option with breakfast and I advise you do the same, freshly squized juice, fruits, sandwiches, jams, delicious coffee. 10/10 The host - Stefano, you're amazing, all your valuable tips and directions, grazie! I am very thankful for all your messages and meal/pastry facts sent daily, we felt very taken care of all the time. I don't usually rate the host, but Stefano, you get 11/10 :) Tips: Go to see: - Museo archeologico nazionale - Orto Botanico di Cagliari - Tuvixeddu necropolis - Bastione di Saint Remy - Torre dell'Elefante - Parco di Molentargius, see the flamingos! - climb the Sella del diavolo, the views are astonishing and it's an easy hike - after your hike go straight to the Calamosca beach, cosy and swim is refreshing and lots and lots more, our stay was too short, I need to come back again :) Grazie mille Stefano, B&B HIGHLY recommended, to all of you who find this opinion valuable - enjoy your stay!

Croatia10 out of 10! Tremendous host: I've never met a host who was so helpful and full of practical advice on where to go and what to see in the city. Made us feel incredibly welcome. Outstanding location: centre of the old city, right next to the Regional Council of Sardinia and just a few steps away from the seafront and the marina. Delicious breakfast served by the top man himself – Stefano. Word to the wise: be sure to hit the remarkable sand beach of Poetto.

AustriaStefano, the host, is very knowledgeable about his town and goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Activities, restaurants, sights - he finds something to add for everyone. The rooms are wonderfully cozy, quiet, clean and offer everything you might need. Don't be put off by the stairs, the host will help you with the luggage. The location is excellent - 5 mins to the old castle district, loads of restaurants, shopping and the harbour just around the corner. You start the day with a lovingly prepared breakfast and a special sweet treat from the bakery each morning. There is cold drinking water and a space in the fridge for your food, if you require it. 100% recommended!

United KingdomIt's not a dislike just something to be aware of if walking is an issue or you have a lot of luggage. Cagliari is quite a busy city and the apartment currently has major roadworks going on near it which reduces access by car. Free Parking is a short 7-10 minute walk away, and some paid parking is roughly 3-5 minutes away, this wasn't an issue for us as this was all explained in the B&Bs bio and Stefano very helpfully sent a breakdown of all of the paid/free parking with prices and locations to each.
We stayed for 2 nights at the Cagliari Old Town B&B and Stefano was an incredible host from start to finish, he was easily reachable and made sure we had all of the information to check in etc, he spoke excellent English and he literally could not do enough for us with wonderful food, drink and beach/activity recommendations, useful insights about the city and even providing us with beach equipment and a take away breakfast when we had to check out early on our final day. The breakfast we had on our first dayl was lovely with freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit and a little menu full of delicious options. The B&B itself is easy to find and is clean, tidy and well equipped (the only place we stayed during the entire trip with a kettle in the room, good for us Brits). We were extremely happy with our stay and would definitely stay again.

NetherlandsIn most B&B's and hotels breakfast is self service. But in this one the owner gives you personal attention by making breakfast the way you like it and by making conversation plus giving tips for the things you plan to do that day.

LatviaThe staying in this hotel was nice. The place is near by train an bus station (8-10min to walk). Hotel is in city centre, and Cagliari's beautiful places is not far away - you can easy go and walk outside to enjoy old town and places nearby. If you want to enjoy sea - public transport (buses PF, PQ) are 2 min to walk from hotel, 20 min in the way - and you are in the beautiful beach Poetto. Tickets for bus are available near by hotel in Tabaceria. All these details and info you will know from amazing host:) He recomend us to visit some museums, interesting places. He will tell all necesary information and make your staying comfortable:) The breakfast were good, there were available fresh tradicional Sardinia's snacks too. Our room were clean, modern, bed big and comfortable. Only - we ask extra blanket from host, he without problem gave it to us. And huge bonus was that we can leave there our bags(luggage) before check in and after check out.
