Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

A picturesque location and fabulous luxury hotel, away from the crowd and buzz of the city. Exceptional service and facilities. We stayed in the Olimpi penthouse suite which was tastefully decorated with antique furniture and paintings. The bonus was the outdoor private hottub which was a welcome after a day of sightseeing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They had very useful suggestions for day trips including Capri, Amalfi coast, Pompei and the unforgettable cheesemaking and limencello tasting experience at, Benedetto. Giovanni, Josie, Alessandro, Leia and all the staff made our stay extra-special. The views from the hotel are simply breathtaking.

IsraelOne thing we didn't like was one waitress who treated us unpleasantly from the moment we entered the hotel. She treated everyone kindly except us. This is something that the hotel must pay attention to who are the employees it employs in the hotel. We will return to the hotel but we will ask that this waitress not serve us at all.
Very beautiful and relaxing hotel.

United Arab Emirateseverything was great
location is just perfect if you want to visit Sorrento and also Positano, Amalfi. Hotel is old but renovated, doesn’t feel like out of date, views were breathtaking. They have wonderful staff, ladies at the reception were super attentive and kind, answered all our questions, helped book restaurants and gave lots of recommendations about the places to visit and where to eat, booked tours and guided us to those that have reasonable prices. in the property they have animals like horses and donkeys, which was very interesting for our toddler. Hotel food was great, breakfast was excellent same as dinner with different menus, special days with authentic cuisine, pizza nights. And the room was beautiful and very clean, always fresh towels, room was cleaned twice a day. We just enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave at all. The check out was super smooth and easy, we had to leave early in the morning and they prepared us breakfast, with fresh fruits, coffee, so much food that we couldn’t even eat half of it.

France1. We booked a room with a bath as we have young children but on arrival, we discovered that all their bathrooms had been recently renovated, and they had removed every single bath. Getting my children into a shower is a bit of a struggle say the least! I probably wouldn’t have booked this hotel, knowing that they didn’t have a bath when other hotels were available with baths. 2. The restaurant was fantastic, but the lights were incredibly bright, and they were unable to dim them. They had the ability to dim them, but it appears that non-dimmable lightbulbs had been put into the lights. It felt as if we are floodlit every evening! We ended up asking them to switch half the lights off when we were the only ones. 3. It was very very warm in the bedrooms, and when I reported that the air-conditioning wasn’t working, I was told that the hotel’s air-conditioning had not yet been switched on, as (in April) it was still getting cold at night. They had a choice between heating or air conditioning, and had decided on heating. This meant that the rooms were uncomfortably warm at night, registering 35 C on the thermostat. The only solution was to sleep with the French windows open, which I wasn’t comfortable with given that I, a woman, was sharing a bedroom with my little girl and the French windows, open straight onto one of the hotels terraces, which anyone could access. I do expect better control over the temperature of my bedroom in a hotel of this caliber. However, the hotel, as a whole was truly delightful and the staff with very friendly and brilliant with our children so I would book there again, just maybe not between seasons!
This is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location, the views over the sea and towards Vesuvius are just incredible. Very quiet, spacious and comfortable rooms with large newly renovated bathrooms. A great chef who would prepare requested meals for our fussy children, and the food on the menu was fantastic. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful.

South KoreaThe terrace went around the house and sometimes people from other rooms walked past our windows.
The hotel is situated within a park of 20,000 sqm with very high and old tree and with a wonderful view over the Bay of Napoli, from higher floors one could also see over the golf on the other side. The room was spacious and clean. The bath was roomy and was spotless clean with very good fixtures. The breakfast was excellent with fresh produce partially home made products or products from their own greenhouse. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was plentiful, easy and free.We did not use the in-house restaurant but found also nice restaurants and even a three star Michelin rated restaurant within walking distance in Sant’Agata.

United KingdomWonderful customer service, we were made so welcome from the start to finish of our short trip. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and quiet and we were lucky to recieve an upgrade to a suite which had amazing views and a gorgeous modern bathroom. We also took a cookery class which was incredible, the chefs were so friendly and accomodating and so knowledgeable, we were even shown the garden where they grow their organic produce. Everything was perfect from the start to the end. We will definitely return for longer again.
