You need to be fit. It can be tough getting back up the hill.

Fabulous view and close to Corso Umberto. Our room was a bit noisy with traffic noise from the road below. Staff moved us to a quieter room. Excellent. The the hotel is 1960's retro and that is part of the charm..

The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. We had an ocean view room and the views and patio size was fantastic. Facilities at the hotel including the pool were great also. Breakfast had ample choice. The location was good but be aware that to get to the main street for shopping and restaurants there is a hill and stairs.

The hotel is very dated and really needs updating. The room and bathroom were functional and very clean but could really benefit from updating. Our terrace was roomy but two extremely large and tall conifers blocked half of the lovely view.

The location was very good. The rooms were very clean and the staff were helpful and respectful. The swimming pool was lovely. Breakfast was very good.

Fantastic location (5 mins to the main shopping and restaurant areas) with beautiful views. The pool is set up high with amazing views over the water. Yes it’s a faded jewel - but it’s still very beautiful! Don’t stay here if you want to stay in the latest, modern (soulless?) hotel. This is a family run hotel with lots of charm and character - we loved it! The onsite parking at a reasonable rate was an added bonus. Breakfast on the terrace was a lovely start to the day.

Location, location, location! The hotel is perfect walking distance to all the restaurants and shops but away from the noise. The fact you can also take advantage of the sister hotel with beach is such a bonus to get the best of both worlds. The views from our room and the pool are top notch. This is such a gem and we will absolutely be back.

Rather tired , shabby decor and an on and off smell of drains in the bathroom was a bit unpleasant ( noticed this mentioned in other reviews.)

The toilet was too close to the bidet and no tea making facilities, but that was about it.

Fantastic location at the top of the town, just a few minutes walk down the steps on to the main road. Beautiful pool with the best views. We had a room with a huge balcony, although there was no real barrier between neighbours but we didn't see anyone else either side until last night. We had amazing view from our balcony, comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious choice of fresh salad, cakes, fruit, ham and cheese. Staff couldn't do enough for you and were so polite.

Bathroom a little too small but functional.

Very traditional hotel and very clean. Towels and sheets changed daily. Mini bar stocked daily. Large balcony overlooking sea and Mount Etna. Swimming pool lovely and we were well looked after at breakfast. The owner and staff were lovely and very helpful. Good location.

The age of the property means that although everything works well , it is in serious need of updating . Very 60’s . But the WiFi works well and fast .

at the top of the town so a bit of a walk - buts that why you have the views

Most of the staff were lovely but one was a bit rude. There was no safe in the bedroom and a kettle would be good in the room to make hot drinks

Very clean, easy access to the main town, (not good for those with limited mobility however as Taormina is very hilly!) lovely breakfast selection, incredible views of Etna and the sea. Pool area lovely
