Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LebanonThe only thing that was a little hard for us is that it was too hot without AC in the room (even though we were in September) so we ha to open to windows. Since our room was on the road side, we were disturbed by the noise
Location and access to the hotel were perfect. The breakfast had a big selection of products, and the staff is extremely responsive and nice

FranceI thought the bed was great but my husband prefers a flatter pillow which wasn't available.
Location was great as our business was at the Army base. The breakfast was very good. I was disappointed that coffee was not allowed in the rooms as we enjoy early morning coffee as we read.

GermanyNo issues really. Staff was excellent and friendly.
The breakfast was good for a 3 star hotel. Scrambled eggs good, bread ok, coffee so, so. All absolutely acceptable for this level hotel. Location directly across from Ederle Kaserne pedestrian gate and easy bike ride to downtown was very good. Parking tight but ok for free.

AustriaThe only real complaint that I have was there was no soap in the room's bathroom. Breakfast was ok but could have been better and one or two cable news program in the room would have been nice.
Very friendly staff and definitely a good quality/price/service ratio. Excellent location for my needs and budget.

SwitzerlandI stayed for 5 nights. The hotel is modern, very clean, and comfortable. The staff at the reception are extremely friendly, and assist with all questions. The reception is 24 hours, and the bus stop to go to the city center is just across the road. There are several restaurants nearby. The prize for the room is very reasonable for the quality and service of the hotel. I took the hotel to travel to different cities and return in the evening. Everytime I got back, I told myself: "Now I am coming home again".

PortugalThe decor of the building is very dated... more 1970's, so if you are expecting modern, you won't find it here.
The entire staff were terrific! They allowed us to check in a bit early, kept our luggage stored in a locked area so we could attend an event after check-out. Location is handy, if you need to be close to the military base. Breakfast was mostly breads/rolls/desserts, with some yogurt and cereals. One of the best Gelato places is just a 2 minute walk across the street.

NetherlandsThe road it’s on is a busy, noisy one, and it’s not much quieter at the back (we were woken up early in the mornings by, e.g., waste collection). Still, I’d return for all the positives it offers.
Staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Rooms were nice, accommodated with a small safe and a small fridge. (A water kettle would have been nice too.) The rooms were clean and the water pressure was very good. They have single rooms, which was nice for the singles in the group. Some rooms on the upper floors at the back look out on trees and a church tower. In the basement they have a few laundromats for guests to use for a small fee. There are a few good restaurants in the neighbourhood at walking distance, and there are a bank and a supermarket across the street. Parking is on the property and the hotel is close to the motorway. Taxi fare to the city centre was about EUR 15. (We didn’t try the public transport this time.) A neat and modest hotel, great for staying a longer period of time (we stayed for two weeks) and take day trips to all the great places and sites in the area. (In other words, great for an active stay, for lounging and relaxing I’d look further.)

United StatesThis August the train service to Venice was interrupted but nothing to do with the hotel! They are adding express track and work should be completed by the end of the month, August 2024!
I’ve been staying in Hotel Mary for many years and ever since I first visited over 15 years ago I felt very good. Although it is not flashy this is the place where one will find all they need. Price is decent, rooms are small but very comfortable clean and well maintened. Breakfast is very tasty and rich! Air condition excelent. Hotel has secure underground parking so your foreign registered cars with valuables will have 100% security! Vicenza historic center is only few bus stops away (bus stop accross). Small shopping mall is just one mile away with excellent grocery shop. Hotel Mary is great choice if one wants to visit Venice and Padova and save money. Price is decent (compared to Venice and other Italian city hotels). Best way to visit Venice is if you take a 20 min train ride to Venice or Padova. All in all if you want to visit this part of Italy, save money, rest, feel safe and secure this is your best choice! It is decent and very safe!
