Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesNothing.
For 3 pax the room are of right size. Online check in with clear instructions. Easy access given to guests to get in to store their luggages or go direct to assigned room when it is ready, with elevator. Location is a plus, walking distance, about 10 mins walk, to Roma Termini station. The hotel is close to different restaurants. Recommend this hotel to everyone planning to stay for few days in Rome.

United KingdomIt has to be expected in an apartment style set up there will be some noise. Luckily I was too tired from my run to be too disturbed 😎
I ran the Rome Marathon and this was perfectly placed to get to the start. Also brilliant restaurant close by. Bed was super comfy too.

Walkable from Termini station. Bars & restaurants nearby. Basic but quite acceptable, especially given the price.

RomaniaEven though I selected the baby cot option when making the reservation, they did not ask for an extra fee during payment. However, after booking, an extra fee of 10 Euros was requested for each day for the baby cot. This is a very wrong system. It is stated in the hotel information that baby cots are chargeable. For those who want a baby cot before the reservation confirmation, a warning is required stating that the baby cot is chargeable.
Location is great, room was cleaned every day. Tea and coffee were available in the room every day. Since we stayed in a corner room, we did not hear any noise, but there was a sound problem in the bathroom. It was a very comfortable stay as everything in the hotel is automatic. I recommend the restaurant called 'il brigantino' located 50 meters from the hotel. It is the restaurant with the most affordable prices and the most delicious food among the restaurants we visited during our trip to Rome. Also, the cheapest way for those coming from CIA airport is to buy a ticket for 2 Euros from the ATAC ticket vending machine at the airport, get off at the Cinecitta metro stop with bus number 520 from platform 7, and get off at the Vittorio Emenuella stop by metro (you can use the same ticket).

UkraineOur towels weren't changed during 6 days. Also the wall is very thin. And the last but not least cleaning was starting from 8.30 which was quite early, because as I mentioned the wall is very thin, so it was disturbing.

CanadaThe bathroom is quite small and no room to put your stuff. Not sure what happened but the hallway is rather cigarette smelly. When we complained, the reply was their monitoring camera did not show anyone smoking. One night when I left the door opened for more than a few minutes, our room smells like a smoking room. Our son was having a cough fit as he is allergic to cigarette smoke.
Decent location not too far from the usual sight seeing for tourist. Quiet room and good wifi. Tiny elevator but good enough to bring up your luggage. You have to find it in the back on the ground floor, hidden. The free coffee pots are quite good.

RomaniaIt was quite small, but so are most of the places in Italy so this is not a minus.
The location is great as is close to the train station and to the main attractions also. The street is quite small but noisy. The host left ear plugs for us. I did not used them, but my wife did.

United KingdomThe bathroom was a little snug and dated but it did the job. The road was noisy but we shut the windows and used the AC so couldn’t hear anything.
The room was basic but a good size. The location was ideal. There was a fridge and coffee making facilities in the room which was great. The room was made up with fresh towels on both days. They even left little sweets on our pillow, which my daughter and son loved, plus they provided use of umbrellas which was needed!
