Venice is such a romantic city. Age doesn't matter. Our stay was cozy.

The stars were very steep, but fortunately we had assistance with our luggage.

The breakfast was excellent. It was so nice to be served at our table. The staff was very attentive to our needs. The ladies even carried our heave cases up and down the staircase. The location was perfect. Just around the corner from St Angelo water station, line 1.

Great hotel if want to stay in a central, but quiet and safe area.

We did ask for a twin room, but got a double. Not too much of a problem as was with teenage daughter, although she would have preferred her own bed! The stairs to rooms are quite steep, it was fine as we only had small cases, but could be a problem if you had bigger cases or had mobility issues.

Location of property was great, Ferry from airport stopped at S.Angelo, which was a few mins walk from hotel. Also easy for waterbus to train station. Really close to a square with restaurants, cafes, shops and area felt safe for walking around in eve. St Marks and other areas all within easy walking distance. We arrived late, so were given code for door and keys were left out at reception for us to pick up. Room was clean and spacious (we booked a superior) and staff friendly and helpful.

Premises, but you expect that from the overall ambience of the destination, given that the Locanda is probably more than 200 years old (quite functional though)

It was our first time in Venice so I suppose I do not have to articulate my impression of the destination. However, I really feel I need to exemplify the excellent service we received from the Antico Fiore team, Giacomo and Melissa. They went the extra mile to make our stay as pleasant and relaxing as can be. Starting with the breakfast that was not very extensive but well prepared and with the level of attention required (don’t think we ever felt hungry in the morning !!) and continuing with the positive attitude and clarifications provided to all our queries. Location was also quite nice, walking distance to St. Marco Square and the Rialto bridge and Accademia area. Added bonus the very nice Osterias nearby serving delicious pizza and pasta We will definitely visit again!

no elevator. carrying bags up two flights of stairs with no help from the host who was sitting at the reception desk. You need to be in very good shape to stay here.

Location was within a short walk of the S Angelo volleto, ferry. Any time we got lost, we could get on the volletto and we could reorient and find our way home. This hotel was more of a bed and breakfast type. We sat down at our table, visited with the other residents and our host made our breakfast. Very spacious room, with a queen and a single bed. bathroom as well.

    • Small Single Room - Attic
    • Stayed 4 nights

The room I was in was VERY Small - it was the attic room, #7. The beamed roof sloped downwards and felt fairly claustrophobic, and I am not a tall person. The shower cabinet was extremely tiny. There are no surfaces to put things on. There are two small windows that are covered so there isnt much light.

This B&B is located super close to San Angelo stop on the water lines and in a very quiet neighourhood. It is about 1km away from St Mark's, which can be tricky navigating in spite of google maps, but that is a nuance of Venice. No front desk, and someone from the establishment is present only in the mornings. You get a message about to access the place when you arrive, and the keys are waiting for you at the breakfast area. Someone is available via Whatsapp or text at all times, and you get a very prompt reply and a lot of help when needed. The building itself is perfectly clean on the inside, as is the room I stayed in. The extra little touches were much appreciated - The coffee machine, toiletries, and even a plug with USB ports to charge electronic devices. The room was cleaned and tidied up every day, which I really appreciated. WiFi was brilliant. The bed is comfortable, and the AC kept the room cool perfectly. Things to be aware of - The location is very quiet, which means that there isnt anyone around at night. I was walking on my own in the late evenings - and while I did not have ANY reason to not feel safe, I was definitely aware of how alone I was. Be aware that there are stairs to be climbed up to the breakfast room/reception area, and these are not easy especially with luggage.

The main issue was the single bed. It was not level. It kept leaning towards one side so my body kept rolling over to one side of the bed.

Location was very good. Staff was super friendly, helpful and exceptional. It was the staff that made the experience worthwhile.

One quirky detail was the presence of two showers—one in the bathroom and another in the room. Despite this, my overall experience was delightful. Locanda Antico Fiore provided a comfortable and cost-effective stay, making it a noteworthy choice in Venice.

During my extended stay in Venice, I needed an affordable option and stumbled upon Locanda Antico Fiore. Comparing it to my previous three-night stay at Hotel Rialto, which was three times more expensive, I was pleasantly surprised. Locanda Antico Fiore offered a much quieter and warmer atmosphere, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Its location was convenient, and the TV was noticeably larger. What truly stood out was the thoughtful addition of a kettle, allowing me to make tea and coffee, a convenience I lacked at Hotel Rialto. The value for money at Locanda Antico Fiore, especially considering the pricey Venetian setting, was impressive.

It would have been useful to have some cutlery available in the room.

The location was excellent, 10 minutes away from most important sights. The room had a nice ancient vibe, in tune with the surroundings. Host was nice to us and made preparations for our late night arrival, they also let us leave the luggage there for a couple of hours, after checkout.
