Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis isn't on the hotel at all and won't impact my rating, but walking on the street can be difficult and feel unsafe at times. However, this is seemingly just the way of the Amalfi Coast if you are walking anywhere! Just make sure you tuck in wherever possible and be mindful when cars are coming/behind you.
The beds were clean and comfortable and the shower was the largest of all the places we had stayed (hooray for being able to shave my legs without drowning!). The staff are very polite and kind. They have you pickup/drop your key with them whenever you come/go from the hotel. It was a nice, human touch. The bus can take you either toward Amalfi or to Positano/Sorrento and the stops along each way that tourists would like to see. Just pay attention to the bus schedule (the hotel gives you a folder when you check in with a copy inside) as it can be different day to day. It's also not always on time and can be pretty late, so just be mindful that you may not have missed it, it might just not have come yet! It is also within between 2-10 mins walking distance of some really fantastic restaurants (seriously if you don't go to Ristorante Il Pino, shame on you!) The breakfast was AWESOME for us, as I am gluten free. Each morning there were 2-3 slices of GF toast plastic wrapped waiting for me as well as a plate with gluten free packaged goods that I could choose from. The rest of the breakfast is buffet style so that part is up for other GF people to decide on how they want to handle, but I felt comfortable taking a little bit of the fruit they had on the table and the breakfast sliced meat! There were also bacon and eggs that were in serving cases but I just didn't go for them. COFFEE LOVERS ALERT: we had the best cappuccino ever every single day of our stay there. And we have had A LOT of coffee on this trip between Rome and Praiano, but both agreed that this was probably our favorite of all. 10/10 would recommend!!

United StatesNo fault of the hotel but you hear quite a bit of road noise, easily rectified by walking an extra 10 miles for the day. Super cute place.
Perfect location in Praiano. All of the staff/family were very friendly.

United StatesNothing for me, but be aware that you are on the road, so depending on the season, there will be traffic outside the hotel. Also, the church bells ring several times a day. While we loved it, others may not.
The hotel was in town near the church, so there were no steps to navigate. Breakfast was included, and the rooftop restaurant provided a nice view of the coast. The location made it easy to stroll into town, walk to the beach, or hike to the convent above the town. I would definitely rebook with the hotel if we return.

IrelandThere was no views whatsoever from our room. But that wasn’t an issue at all as we spent very little time in the rooms.
We loved the hotel, absolutely perfect for a holiday like this, in between Amalfi and Positano with bus to either direction right outside the property.

New ZealandThe whole family running the hotel were amazing - very welcoming and always there to offer help and suggestions as we battled the Amalfi traffic/bus congestion. The breakfasts were superb and an evening drink on the roof terrace finished our days nicely. Highly recommend this hotel.

United StatesWe liked everything about this hotel -we hope we can go back someday… six nights was just not long enough
This is a very fine, small family run hotel. Situated in Praiano is a perfect place to get away from the busy crowds in the other spots along the Amalfi coast. Also it offers a beautiful view looking back toward Positano across the water and up to the mountains. the rooftop restaurant dipping pool and bar area are lovely a beautiful respite Place to watch the gorgeous sunsets. The rooms are clean, & well taken care of. We found our beds and linens to be perfect as well as the air conditioning at a perfect temperature.
