We stayed 5 nights and couldnt have cleaning in the middle, so by the 5th night the room was quite dirty, but this isnt a con for the property.

The Place was great. It gave us stone house vibe and the location is genuinely amazing. The hosts also were very kind and helpful.

We stayed Weds-Saturday so we didn't experience much noise from the street at the start of our stay, but Friday night was a different story and the fact it is an old building without double glazed windows meant that you probably want to bring earplugs along for the weekends as people were out and about till around 3am. I anticipated that there wouldn't be beach towels in addition to bath towels so brought my own - I would bear that in mind when visiting during the summer if you want to swim. Though as the hosts were quite accommodating they may leave you extra towels if you ask. Bring your own tea/coffee as that isn't provided as part of the rental.

The hosts were very accommodating of our request to check in early/leave our luggage in the morning. Fortunately the flat was available in the morning so we could arrange to check in early. We had the 2 bedroom apartment option which was a studio flat with access to a bedroom & ensuite through a connecting door. I've read a number of reviews about the property and I can say that there was not an issue with humidity, nor was there any damp smells. Both rooms have air conditioning and while it is noisy I didn't need to have it on at night as having the shutters closed during the day meant that the room stayed at a comfortable temperature. The ensuite bathroom has a shower door (previous reviews have mentioned that this was missing and water on the floor would be an issue), As long as the seal on the bottom of the door engages with the tile all the water remains in the shower base and drains well. There are loads of hooks in the bathroom and bedroom to hang stuff up which helps organise your things. There is a fantastic terrace at the top of the building which we enjoyed drinks and snacks before heading out to dinner. The flat is super close to many restaurants and bars so you are spoiled for choice. I loved proximity to the harbour which was picturesque and a lovely place to stroll in the mornings or evening. You could be at a choice of 3 beaches in 10mins walk of the flat. I travelled by train from Bari and the station is less than 10mins walk from the flat. Grocery stores are handy to get to too.

Humidity! We felt cold despite the fact that the owner came to show us the heating. It didn’t work well and we were all the time under the duvet and felt uncomfortable because of humidity. It was too much of it

Really good communication with the host who got in touch to arrange the check-in. The location was great, near the sea and one of the best restaurant we tried in Monopoli. Nice flat!

We had a basement apartment 1- on opening the door there was a very damp, mouldy smell 2- this smell continually lingered whilst inside the apartment despite a daytime running extraction fan. 3 - there must’ve been a crack / leak in the toilet bowl. Because after a day 2 of a 4 night stay we noticed a smell of urine 4- 1/2 if the shower door was missing , meaning that the bathroom floor inevitably got wet when using the shower 5- The dampness of the air in the apartment caused the bedding and any clothing not in the wardrobe or drawers to also feel damp. If these issues were addressed it would be a GREAT apartment 😊

The room is like a basement level and so air flow isn’t great- everything I own was damp and I had to dry it out at my next destination. I understand that’s part of living in old stone homes mixed with the humid temperatures though.

The location is perfect. In the old town, so close to the happenings of the town and beaches but it’s on the out skirts, so, quiet & great for walking from train station or if you have a rental car like me, so easy to get to from paid public parking about a 2 min walk away. I’m travelling solo and was nervous to not have an actual booked car space that I’d have trouble finding one nearby but it was never an issue- there is a big park with a fountain in it right near the apartment and there is plenty of parking all around it. the apartment was clean and comfortable, & I made use of the washing machine during my stay- which is shared & on the terrace so not available 24/7, you need to contact the owner and he will arrange it while your there.

One of the bedrooms did not have an AC.

The apartment is in the city centre of Monopoli and easy to access to other places outside Monopoli. The price was reasonable and was enough for a short stay. The beds were comfortable.

you can hear the neighbors and I guess they can hear us. the walls are super thin. you can use earplugs for sleep like I did. The rest is good

it’s a nice space for a single person or a couple. the location is great. beach and the city center are only minutes away. the shower has hot water. there is a small fridge and small electric stove.

The location was convenient to discover old town, this was the only downside too. The nightlife was audible until 2-3 AM in the morning. Keep that in mind, otherwise it is nice apartment.

Lovely host, we could choose from 3 apartments. Two bedrooms were easily enough with family, the kitchen was well equipped too, everything, including the bathroom was clean.

LOVED this little studio. Exceptionally renovated, beautiful aesthetics exactly as pictured. Hosts were warm and welcoming, also flexible with check in time. Location is perfect in the heart of the old town. 100% would stay again.

The Wi-Fi was a bit iffy and when there were neighbours you could hear them as if they were in your room as it’s just a locked room between you.

The location was spot on: on the edge of the old town, so close to all the pretty sights, as well as the new side of the city and the public transport. It was cute and decorated so well. Super comfy!

Mold, mold, mold. Worst experience in Italy ever. The location was good. The room looks okay even though there is a electricity issue, shower is broken, no ventilation, no airconditioning, smells like urine. But the biggest issue is mold. Black mold everywhere on the ceiling. Everything is damp. It smells truly bad, no ventilation at all, it hits your lungs. It is a safety hazard, the owners are very well aware yet still keep offering this room to tourists. That is just wrong. It is not healthy. No one should be staying there in these conditions. We had to sleep with the front door open all night to keep it bearable. Can you imagine sleeping with your door open on a busy town. Everyone peeking in? Owners were offering to compensate one of 3 nights if we found another appartment before their deadline. But it was too late. Also not enough. They should've compensated anyway, but instead ignored us. This definitely ruined our whole stay in Monopoli. Believe me. Stay away from this place.

Location only, but there are several others at even better locations.
