We stayed in the garden room and had our own patio, which was beautiful. The downside is the steps are steep and they really need a railing for support. If you have mobility issues this is not the place for you. Also, it is quite a ways out of the center of La Spezia. Breakfast was okay, I wish they would have more variety, the addition of waffles or pancakes would be nice.

The view was spectacular. Room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good but wish there was more variety. Did appreciate them using local ingredients (i.e. strawberries, apricots from local garden). Staff were friendly and helpful. This is a very tranquil place and would be ideal for those who want to be out of the city center.

It was a little tricky to find the property using our gps- a lot of hairpin turns. despite this it is quite convenient to get into town and to the train station.

The cleaning staff and kitchen staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms and facilities were very clean and enhanced our stay very much!

I was very please with my stay!

La Pietra was the perfect mini vacation during my month in Italy. I stayed for one night, enjoying every second of the breathtaking view. The room was spacious and cozy, even smelled amazing. My favorite part was the patio and green space, overlooking the coast of La Spezia. Be sure to check out the maps, itinerary, and guest journal for activity ideas. La Pietra is a must stay while in La Spezia!

So far away from the lake! The photos from the listing give the impression it's on the lakeside of the beach. It's actually a 15 minute walk to the lake and the photos are of a beach attached to a totally different property! The layout of the property is inconvenient as the second bedroom requires you to go outside and up again, goce you a little floor journey to the bathroom. The instructions for bins (seemingly halfway down the hill by car) are also very unclear. Very noisy neighbours.

The rooms had bugs every time we went in them, like bees and wasps and flies. The hotel had loud music playing until 11 pm every night right outside our room. The stairs were steep and way too many of them.

The view was amazing. The staff were nice, but not there very often.

Because we had a late check in, we received some instructions in Italian. There were no English instructions, but the problem was that the address received on the instructions took us somewhere else (the gps) and the building where we supposed to stay was not in the same building with the reception area and after we were trying to find the location in the middle of the night, because it was not proper signaled in the night, when the owner came, his attitude was very rude, as if we disturbed them because we asked for instructions in English.

The view is very nice.

Its too out of town. no restaurant or shop nearby. If you have no car big issue. Noisy when guest going to their rooms. No elevator,no one help us to carry our luggge up .Breakfast needs to improve.

I saw a rat while we were eating at the balcony. The location is not easy to reach, in short, far and difficult.We can't just walk to the centrum easily. The road is really narrow and not good for walkers. And to get to the room is very difficult. You need to drag your bags to those high steps. The shower has very slow pressure and the water takes several minutes to get warm. There are no workers after 6pm so one needs to be there before 6pm and which we were not told beforehand. Booking has not mentioned this prior to booking the room so it was a bit of a pressure if you are coming from a faraway place. Most importantly, no restaurants nearby.

It has an overlooking view of the marina and downtown as well.

I was told that I will receive two bedrooms in 2 different structures but I was not told that the two structures are a road apart - Also the room was not properly cleaned when we arrived - crumbs from break, cake on the table (which stayed there for 2 days even with cleaning ) , the hair dryer did not work and covered in dust, the kettle was covered in dust which does not invite to any usage. The bathroom leaks, which means any shower ends with a messy bathroom. In terms of location, not sure it is convenient for short-seeing as you have to drive up and down. And in La Spezia, difficult to find parking which makes every trip challenging.
