Nothing! This hotel beat all of our expectations. I can't think of a single thing that they need to change.

Surprise and delight would be the best way to describe La Gemma. This five star boutique hotel has both beauty AND brains with an elegant design and the most caring staff. From the handwritten note and signature welcome drink in the beautiful bar to the daily breakfast, nightly turn down service and AMAZING on-site spa, this hotel is a total jewel in Florence. And, don't forget the killer location. Two blocks to the Ponte Vecchio, a few blocks to City Hall and Uffizi, incredible shopping and restaurants are all around La Gemma. Such an amazing find in Florence, wish they had more locations in Italy and the world.

Aircon could have been more powerful, and also asked for a garment to be ironed and was not told it would be 35 Euro.

The La Gemma hotel is wonderfull place to stay in Florence. We highly recommend this place for couples. Lovely designed, boutique hotel in the center of Florence. Personel at the hotel is amazing, hihgly professional and kind. We felt very welcomed. We were celebrating special occasions there and the La Gemma team made these days very special. We received very good restaurant reccomendation, one of this (Luca's) being at the hotel. We highly reccommend to visit Luca;s restaurant and try their testing menu :). We will definitely come back!

Breakfast superb, wide variety of continental foods, delicious selection of meats, eggs and breads. The presentation and waiters were truly the best. We are most definitely coming back. Thankyou La Gemma

Bravo!!!!! Such a nicely done boutique hotel! The staff was up on there game. Polite, responsive, helpful. The room was large and comfortable. Decorated really well! Stocked with all the amenities one could ask for, the lotion and shampoo smell and feel so good! I don’t think we’d stay anywhere else! This is the place we will return to! Oh, and the restaurant is wonderful, highly recommend!

Honestly, my stay was really a treat. The only thing that didn’t work properly was the streaming from my phone to the TV. I’m sure that will be resolved easily.

Wow- this hotel truly lives up to its name- it’s an absolute gem!! The suite was spacious and nicely appointed very comfortable bed with nice bedding. Absolutely gorgeous decor. The restaurant was wonderful- I did the tasting menu and it was all amazing. My suite was huge. Plenty of counter space, plenty of space for the luggage. The staff was so friendly and attentive too!

Hotel La Gemma is truly a gem in the heart of Florence. The boutique hotel has all the amenities of a well-seasoned luxury hotel but their attention to their guests feels like the hotel exists for just you. It’s gorgeous, luxurious and peaceful. Their playful interior design is absolutely lovely and I appreciated their clever choice in using colors that honor their incredible cathedral, duomo, belltower, baptistery. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay perfect and their genuine care for guests to enjoy their stay is noticed. We enjoyed having drinks every evening at their bar where the bartender is very skilled and personable. The rooms are comfortable, peaceful and roomy. Their beds/bedding are excellent and their AC was such a respite from the hot summer weather. And the location is perfect. Tucked away off a main tourist arterial allowed for a feeling of privacy and calmness. Hotel La Gemma will be our choice in hotels whenever we visit Florence.

Nothing, it's a perfect little retreat in the heart of Florence.

This boutique property is absolutely stunning. Every single detail has been thoughts of in the overall design. It's small, but quaint and romantic. It has a classy bar area and a well appointed restaurant with excellent food under a Michelin star chef. The location is incredible. The duomo is a 5 minute walk, the Uffizi is 5 minutes away, etc. Love love love this hidden gem.

Only negative thing was the margarita pizza we ordered from room service. It was probably one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. But this did not take away from our wonderful experience with the room, the staff and the food at breakfast
