It was one of the best accommodations I ever visited. Strongly recommend for anyone who finds a place for their vacation. We ate dinner from their restaurant, and It was really nice. Very fresh ingredients with modern styled Sicilian cooking techniques. Also breakfast was really nice too, with a fantastic view. Swimming pool was much bigger than we expected, room too.

We’d recommend this to anyone. Beautiful setting, food, wine, rooms and service. Nice place to chill out and take it easy if you are on a big trip or a short stay. We are on our honeymoon and it was a highlight so far.

The price of some of the extras seemed quite high, such as the wine tasting and cooking classes. Probably in line with the cost of staying though. Wine tasting is available at nearby wineries for a lower cost, although of course less convenient.

A lovely hotel - very relaxing, clean and comfortable. Nearby many vineyards and places to visit. Staff were friendly and the food was very good.

Absolutely loved this gem of a hotel in Menfi -- it was even better than the pictures! Staff was lovely, super helpful, the food was incredible and that infinity pool that looks out over the vineyards was exactly where we wanted to be at the end of the day to watch the sunset. My only regret is that we only stayed there two nights -- would happily return! Also, their beach club (Insula) is stunning and set amongst pine trees which offer much-needed shade in July. We loved it :)

Everything. The food, the staff, the location, the wine, the cooking class, the pool, the view, the comfortable room. We left La Foresteria to visit Mt. Etna. Our entire family was sad to say goodbye. A rare and exquisite spot. We will def come back.

The view from the infinity pool overlooking the vineyards was stunning. Needless to say the Planeta Brut at the bar was always refreshing. They have a splendid private beachclub within 10min drive and we had dinner there. The Birthday dinner in the main restaurant was a delight. Staff were friendly and helpful. Their herbal garden is a delight to walk through. The room and the bed are comfortable

The room was supposed to be air conditioned. The air conditioner did not work for our entire stay. All we got was excuses from staff but no action to fix. The weather was warm and at night the room was stuffy which required the door to the outside to be open. Not ideal for security

The breakfast was really great! The only thing a hotel of this class could change is to offer freshly made eggs for free. Hard-boiled eggs are included in the price but you need to pay extra for freshly-made egg dishes (e.g. scrambled eggs, etc).

We spent the last night of our 10 day Sicily Trip at La Foresteria as a highlight to end our trip. The hotel is beautifully located in south Sicily close to Menfi and has amazing views over vineyards and the coast. In Mid April the hotel was very calm but there were still enough guests around so you didn't feel lonely :) The food and wine were excellent and everyone treated our little son (3 years old) super nicely with a lot of patience although he was one of the few kids around.

The place is absolutely amazing. We travelled with two small children and it was perfect for a family break. The location is stunning and we loved the beach club which was just 10 minutes away by car. The restaurant is superb too.

Not very much. La Foresteria is a little expensive but the high quality and attention to detail means it is really quite good value.

Very comfortable room with beautiful view over vineyards to the coast. High quality food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and at the pool area for lunch. The private beach club is also very well appointed. Restaurant experience is one of the high points. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful, chef was able to accommodate our requests and the pace of service made it a very comfortable and delicious way to spend the evenings.

We were in a room that was above the maids quarter and it was very noisy late at night with the washing machine going and people walking about, and noisy early in the morning which was a shame - but the only complaint we have

La Foresteria is a brilliant place to stay. The staff are so helpful and friendly, responding to our every need. The facilities are top-rate. We stayed in the junior suite with sea view. You have your own patio with chairs and table, herb garden and view over the vineyards to the sea. Bed super-comfortable and the shower room 5 star. The infinity pool and bar area is wonderful. The patio restaurant serves 5-star Sicilian food and the waiters are very happy to advise you on which Planeta wine to drink with which food. Plus there is a beach club available to residents at the hotel where the staff are wonderful. Shaded seating areas, sun-loungers and access to the beautiful beach. You can have drinks, snacks and lunch or dinner at the beach club. We had a dinner which was delicious and romantic.

Frankly, the exterior of the property/buildings/pool need more maintenance. Mostly cosmetic/visual. Paint, rust, pool bottom surface, wooden decks, etc.

The Restaurant and Food experience was the best I've ever enjoyed. We ate both lunch and dinner and did a customized wine tasting as well and then breakfast the next day. Can-not say enough about the restaurant staff and chef's. The room interiors, all the inside spaces were great. The views, the setting in the vineyard, the gardens were very nice. The beach club, while not visited is a big plus.

The restaurant was fine dining which was very nice, however I preferred the more relaxed pool menu which was great. Lunch and dinner menu in the restaurant were the same which could have been varied. No prices for the wines in our room were anywhere on the minibar list (they weren't free).

Beautiful retreat in a quiet location. The pool area was lovely, plenty of time to relax. The breakfast was excellent as was the pool menu which was refined but more casual and relaxed. Nice big selection of wines from the planeta estate that we tried during our stay.

I wish the terrace had privacy walls between the other rooms terraces. Not private at all even from wandering guests checking out the herb gardens…which are lovely but maybe make that section off limits to wandering guests.
