Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe warm water takes a while but the building is more than 100 years old and the pipes weren't renovated. Just make sure you open the tap on time, after a few minutes it's nice and warm.
The hosts are very polite, always available and exceptionally guest oriented, fulfilling your every wish. The breakfast is a very typical Roman sweet breakfast from a local bakery. The croissants for example are not frozen and baked, but hand made, absolutely delicious. The room is spacey and the beds are high quality, hotel beds. I loved the two windows so no need for air-conditioning, just a light breeze through the room. There is air-conditioning available and a television in the room, the internet signal is very strong and fast. The location of the building is really good, there's a supermarket and a bank in front of it. The building itself is very nicely renovated and the rooms are, too, you feel the love and uniqueness of the owners. The personal touch of a little chocolate on the bed every day and the walking routes provided prove how dedicated the owners are to make your stay a success. They also provide a map of Rome which turns into a 3D audio guide of the city, such a surprise element! And the fruit tree in front of the room looks like a it's from a painting.

NetherlandsThe hosts have been very helpful and welcoming from the begining until the end of my stay. They took the time to provide recommendations, to answer my questions. The neighborhood is a nice area to explore by foot, and the great Villa Borghese park is within walking distance to explore. The room itself is comfortable, I even work from there one day - great WIFI. The room and the reception area is decorated with great taste by Alessandra. I would definitely recommend, and I will stay there again next time in Rome.

Great place to stay with best hosts one could wish for! Alessandra's and Massimo's spirit of hosting is heartwarming and makes you really feel at home. The room was spacious, clean and amazingly designed - well thought out down to the smallest detail. The breakfast was exceptionally good too. Located in heart of Rome, the B&B is a convenient place to explorer the city. Vatikan is a tram ride away (tram no 19). Several bus lines go all the way to main sights in the city. Villa Borghese with its beautiful park is just around the corner. All in one, I highly recommend it, a truly amazing place to stay!

CyprusWords are not enough to describe what we as guests have experienced here at La Designata experience. Massimo and Alessandra, the hosts, made our weekend so special. We are definitely coming back again. As for the place itself? What can we say, truly amazing, the energy invested into all the rooms can not go without notice. The breakfast? We felt spoiled!! Also, one of the days that we were there, was my birthday and Alessandra and Massimo surprised us with a cake and a candle. How did they know? A simple administrative task of checking in documents transformed into a thoughtful surprise, an example of excellent hospitality. Two genuine people wanting to provide the best of the best. Until next time ✈️

AustriaI had the best time at Alessandra's and Massimo's B&B. They were extremely considerate, caring and friendly hosts. When it turned out that my arrival is outside their usual check-in times, they were very accommodating, and they also made sure that I'm well taken care of throughout my whole stay. Their place is decorated with great love for detail, including wonderfully fragrant bed linen! The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful so that the room is a perfect retreat after a long and busy day of sightseeing or work. The home-made breakfast is definitely a highlight. All in all, I'm very happy that I made the choice to stay at La Design.aTA and would love to come back one day! Thank you Alessandra and Massimo!

PortugalBreakfasdt could have been a little more diversified (including fruit, for example). Location is good, in a nice, quiet and residential area - not the strongest asset of the property, but still very much decent (and friendly for those city walkers).
The friendly, welcoming personalities of Alessandra and Massimo make your stay memorable. They understand what it means to travel and be willing to discover and engage with everything that is done locally - and that makes a huge difference (use and abuse their local tips!). The room is really comfortable, spacious, clean and well-decorated (the design skills of Alessandra are incredible!).

5/5, the best! When back in Rome I will return here. I highly recommend it for those who wish to carve out a sanctuary in Rome where you can access everything you'd want but also breathe with a free and easy heart. It's also the place where I learned that there's a lot of laughter in Rome: in this space, in the courtyard, and on the street nearby. We often think of Rome as heavy history - and while it has that aspect, it's also about laughter. This is a true delight! The Bed & Breakfast is exquisitely designed with whimsical features that put a smile on your face and in your heart. It's lightness and joy amidst a beautiful gardened and private courtyard. And as wonderful as the design helps you to feel, it is Alessandra & Massimo whose hearts create the magnificence experience that is Design ATA. She is a world-class designer so be prepared to be wowed by the details she's included. He is Roman-born and knows the deep history of Rome. But they also laugh, row each week on the Tibur, and have a deep love of music. Their passions and professions have created a masterpiece. Loved every minute of this gem of an experience. PS: We also did the jazz experience and the Rome at night experience in an antique VW! Highly enlivening and highly recommended!!
