Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPisciotta is a jewel. Village... Culture,...and quite possibly the best uncrowded beach ever. A very old town. This accommodation puts you right into it. We had a lovely view from a beautifully rustic room

IndiaNot the property's fault, but given the layout of Pisciotta itself, be prepared for of a haul with bags from your car parking
We had a spacious triple room in the main house, very historic with an old olive oil mill on premises and a beautiful private garden Christina is a very caring and thoughtful host, she served us pastry and refreshments when we arrived late in the afternoon and restaurants were closed for lunch Terrific breakfast spread

Everything about our short stay was exceptional. Luigi is a wonderful host. He was so informative and helpful. The lodging is beautiful. A step back in time, yet with the modern comforts. Breakfast was above and beyond.

United KingdomIt was a traditional property, beautifully Kept with a fabulous breakfast. The garden was lovely. A 25 mins walk form to the beach and 45 mins walk back up again. The owners made us very welcome. Perhaps the rooms could do with a bit of updating: fridge was broken and it needed a bit of TLC but it didn’t detract from the stay.

AustraliaNothing, but do be aware that it is in an old hill top town so be prepared for stairs.
Situated in the hill top town, this Albergo has rooms spread out. Some in the old mill, others near by. Luigi was very helpful with out check in and instructions on how to get to the main house ( do read his instructions on where to park as the closest car park on Google is 150 steep steps up!!). Fantastic breakfast. Well worth a visit to this lovely town and Albergo.

GermanyThe economy room we stayed is in the basement of a house build on the hill and though it’s has a window overlooking a small yard it might feel a bit walking the stairs down to reach it . Also since the room is small there is not enough space for the luggage
The location is perfect, in a beautiful village close to the sea and other beautiful beaches. The closest beach to the property was really nice and not overcrowded. The room is nicely decorated and has a great mattress that offered us a perfect sleep

I enjoyed my stay at LA Casa sul Blue Albergo Diffuso. Lugo welcome me and escorted me to my room. The room had a beautiful view of the Sea and the Pisciotta Marina. I couldn't have asked for a better room. Breakfast was great plenty of food to eat along with juices, and coffee. Pisciotta is a beautiful town with very kind people. The restaurant I ate were great. I would suggest if you are ever in Pisciotta, Italy and are looking for a place to spend a few days La Casa sul Blu Albergo Diffuso is located in city center and a great place to stay

we loved everything. we were so pleasantly surprised, La Casa sul Blu is such good value for money, it’s in the most interesting old building, we loved the warm welcome and the gentleman that helped us carry our bags from main square where we met, the breakfast is served by his sweet mother, it was just simply divine and set us up for the day, we were kindly upgraded to a nicer room as it was available which we really appreciated, the rooms were silent at night and the balcony view was outstanding, the building was beautiful, the village so sweet, I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wholesome Italian getaway.

AustraliaSome of the steps were a bit poorly lit at night, and as the steps are quite high and uneven, a little bit dangerous.
The breakfast was good by Italian standards, and being able to take a tray to the garden was a very nice way to start the day. Marcela who did most to look after us was simply wonderful!

United KingdomA warning - there is no wifi in the new house. And it is a steep climb up from the new house to the main building for breakfast.
The hotel is split across three sites - we had one room in the old house, which was just amazing, and the much newer building further down the village. All was clean, tidy, well-presented and spacious. The views were spectacular. The hotel is run by Luigi and his parents, and this year they have Marcella in to help. They couldn’t have been more helpful - anything we needed or asked was provided. The other staff were also wonderful - chatty, warm, funny and welcoming. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with a lovely variety of food including cake freshly prepared by Christina every day. We hired a small boat for a half-day, from the marina, canoed from Palinuro, and walked up into the hills.

United StatesThere’s nothing I didn’t like, but you must be a traveler who’s ok with a rustic setting & be prepared to navigate labyrinthine streets with your luggage. Also, it helps if you love cats like we do, because there are many.
Magical, peaceful setting with attentive, kind staff. Marcela & Nella were friendly and warm. The garden is tranquil and the breakfast is divine - homemade treats with ingredients from the garden.

The location was right in the middle of Pisciotta and a short walk to restaurants (and gelato)! The garden was beautiful, and we enjoyed the entertainment of the stray kittens chasing butterflies! Breakfast was lovely, with special unexpected treats now and then! Luigi enthusiastically answered all of our questions about the area, history, and potential activities. He was very kind, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to meet our needs. To us, our simple room was just a place to lay our heads (not hang out), so the small and simple room without the water view was perfect for us. We were grateful for the air conditioner! We will return!

Czech RepublicThis apartment is located in the city center of Pisciotta where the main town square is. In the square there are some pretty cafes and restaurants with delicious pizza. There is also a market and grocery store in the square. The hospitality of Luigio and his mom Kristina was top notch. Luigi is very friendly, responsible and hospitable. The Italian homemade jam made by his mom was exceptionally delicious, a flavor I have not tasted anywhere else before. It was a great pleasure to taste lemons from their garden too. The accommodation has everything you need either for short or for long stays. His family did everything possible to ensure that guests could enjoy their stay by the seaside in the south of Italy on the coast of Cilento. What is very important, our apartment was equipped with a large kitchen and an excellent terrace with flowers, a beautiful view of the garden with fruit and ancient olive trees. I was lucky to get to this place and I will be happy to come back here again.
