Luca was very kind and helpful. The room was so cute,and the bed was comfortable. The location could not have been better right next to the castle with multiple places to eat mere steps outside the door. The entrance to the archeological site was a 5min walk. I would absolutely stay here again!!

Casa nel Castello was absolutely perfect! The location couldn’t be better – right inside the historic walls of beautiful Ostia Antica, next to the Castello. It's just a minute’s walk to the supermarket and bus stop, two minutes from the archaeological site, and five minutes to the train station. The apartment is beautifully designed, combining modern touches with charming features like exposed brick and high wooden beams. The small kitchen is well-equipped, and you can enjoy a stunning view over the borgo while cooking! Luca, our host, was extremely friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back, next time for a full week! With easy access to Rome and Ostia Lido, there's plenty to explore, not to mention its proximity to Fiumicino Airport.

There was nothing that we didn't like!

This was the most beautiful B&B we have ever stayed at. Located in an incredible historic building right near the gates to Ostia Antico, the room was impeccably clean and the very recent renovation was exceptionally done - blending the incredible historical architecture, stone work and wood beamed ceiling with a modern, clean aesthetic. The host was incredibly gracious and helpful with all aspects of our stay.

Luca the host so lovely, met us and helped us with our bags and took the time to give us information about the neighbourhood. The apt was absolutely charming, so well decorated and well equipped. Windows facing into the ancient little town and right inside the walls. Highly recommend to those that want to visit Ostea Antica. Ancient ruins of a castle right outside our door! And the cutest little restaurant a stones throw away where we had a wonderful meal. Only 15 minutes from the airport and a great way to spend our final evening in Italy!

The accommodation was beautiful, nice interior and view to the old town. There was the possibility of breakfast in the form of non-perishable food, water, tea, coffee available in the price. Luca is very nice and helpful.

Nothing. Our stay was perfect.

Location, Location, Location. If you need a few days out from Rome or a crash pad a few nights before your flight out this is by far the best option. Luca’s (the host) communications were never more than a couple minutes and he met us at the property to show us exactly how everything worked. The amenities for the location are spectacular. There is a grocery store, bars, restaurants, and cafes within a 100 ft. Notice that all those locations are plural, multiple options for dining and drinking. Great pastries and coffee for breakfast, and some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten across the piazza. Inside the apartment was also fantastic. Everything was super clean and looked to be recently remodeled. Old world charms were still apparent with cutouts in the drywall showcasing ancient brick work and concrete casting. We didn’t use the kitchen but everything looked to be in order and again super clean. The bathroom was updated and the walk in shower was nice. Plenty of hot water for the three guests that shared the space. There was one bed and it was firm (the way I like a mattress) so I thought it was the best, and a pullout couch that my little boy used.

- location (5 min from train station to Rome), market and restaurants literally one minute from apartment - the place - in the very old centre and next to the castle - apartment itself, really nice and authentic, exactly like on pictures, very good equipped - comfortable beds (with a bit harder mattress, which I like :-) ) - and last but not at least very nice, always smiling and helpful owner

This is a nice little place in a lovely old building. Very helpful host. There was an electric kettle and a drip-style coffee maker. There is a market directly across the street with excellent supplies. The location is perfect for visiting Ostia Antica, only a few minutes walk away. We took the Roma Metro to the Piramide station and then walked a short distance to the Roma Porta S. Paolo station to get on a Romalido train in the direction of Christoforo Colombo, and got off at the Ostia Antica station. NOTE: The transfer from the Metro train station to the Romalido line station was easy and we did not have to purchase separate tickets. We tapped in with our phones (set up for apple pay and google pay) when we entered the metro and were eventually charged about $10 each on our credit card. Getting from the accommodation to the airport is a little trickier. There is a direct bus within easy walking distance, however the buses are not always prompt and if full might drive right past you. We took a taxi, arranged by our host. The taxi arrived right on time and took us and our luggage to the airport.

The location was perfect, in a quiet courtyard right near the castle. The beds were the most comfortable beds we had for our entire vacation in Italy. The apartment was cozy, nicely decorated, and had extras like tea and a few snacks. Best of all was our host. Luca was incredibly responsive when messaging him and he was also very kind and welcoming. He went out of his way to be helpful. First, he recommended a little restaurant right around the corner (called Del Passero I Vicoletti Bar Bistrot) and even made us reservations! The food was fabulous and one of the best meals we had in Italy. Then, when our taxi driver for our trip to the airport didn't show up, he quickly answered our plea for help got us a new cab right away. That extra effort was greatly appreciated, especially when we don't speak Italian. Thank you for a fabulous last night in Italy!

Everything was so perfect that it's hard to find a negative here.

Most comfortable place I have ever been at. Excellent welcome and stay. All you need is there and the location is great. Can't wait to be back for my next stay in the area of Rome.
