There are quite a few mosquitos on the island so pack bug spray.

The location is so peaceful and quiet, good wifi, great staff, the whole nine yards. Even the vaporetto trips to and from the island, despite being long (about 30 minutes minimum), are enjoyable. Getting to see Venice at night from this unique angle is amazing. If you listen closely, you can also hear the bells chiming in Venice.

It is located far from the main attractions from Venice, the only way to get there is one single boat that only works once a hour and that normally doesn't follow the schedule, so it is basically luck.

At the beginning we had trouble finding good connections to the island because Google maps is often wrong. It is better to ask the hotel staff or the boat staff.

They had bikes available to use, but they weren’t all working which had me a little bummed.

I loved the location! The wood stove pizza was delicious and the proximity to the water and perfect. Standard breakfast met all of my needs.

The AC was not working in our original room so the staff move us, which was fine, but the reason given as to why the AC was not working was a little surprising to me. Understandably the season was just beginning to change but considering warm weather was in the forecast I was surprised the staff had not tested the AC units to ensure they were working. Lastly the hotel was a little too quiet at times. I thought the bar would be open or at least some light food service available but it didn't appear any in-house services were open.

The hotel is in a unique location...it's one of the lesser known island, it's quiet and we felt like locals! I really wish we had more time to explore what was on the island. The hotel itself is cute and appears to be kept up well. The staff are very nice and there's a neat little pizza food truck right across the one lane road that appeared very popular.

It is very nice hotel located in amazing island of Venetian archipelago! Island is absolutely beautiful! There small plantation of artichoke and grape. You can take bikes free of charge on the hotel and drive around the island. Breakfast is good, and tasty dinner. Near the hotel you can order very tasty pizza. Host is very helpful and kind.

It is quiet and clean if you want to stay in a peaceful place away from venice it is perfect. You can get to the place easily by 2 boats. I was afraid that it was hard but it was not. The boats work almost 24 hours and is easy to carry your luggage with. You can buy 2 days ticket from the train station

Sometimes very confusing vaporettos.

Breakfast was very nice, a good start for the day. Location was peaceful and quiet like in countryside. It took a while to get to the main island of Venice, but when we get used to vaporettos, it was ok. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

This island hotel is similar to a resort. An excellent getaway from the noise of the city. If you really need some quiet time and enjoy a peaceful holiday, get into this island. The host was really excellent and was the best among all our hosts during our Europe tour. As there was a transport strike on the day we arrived, she made sure and guided us well throughout, to ensure we reach conveniently from the train station to the island. The co-host Mr. Emanual was equally supportive and helped us with various transport options to travel further to Milan. Full marks to both of them!! Finally, the breakfast was equally great.

Not a point of criticism, just bring mosquito spray for Sant'Erasmo after dark!

Great stay far off the masses and yet with quick connections to the other islands that worked out perfectly for us even with the film festival. We had a large room with a nice waterside roof balcony and good breakfast. I'll probably return actually.

To begin with I was concerned that the travel would be a pain since Sant Erasmo is a water bus trip (with a few stops) to the main part of Venice. But with transport passes it was super easy. An air conditioner or extra fans would have been great in the weather we experienced as I found it very difficult to sleep with the muggy heat.

Beautiful property located in a picturesque, peaceful area with the most wonderful staff. The staff were truly wonderful. They were so kind and accommodating from the moment we arrived to when we left. Staff contacted us to arrange for when we would arrive at the port so we could be picked up and did this each time we’d leave from Sant Erasmo to travel to other Venetian islands and we were greeted again on return. The balcony was the perfect place to sit with a coffee in the morning or drawing pad and pencil in the evening. I felt like I was living the Italian villa dream on those warm evenings. Being in a more rural area and the little glimpses into the authentic daily lifestyles away from the tourism was truly a highlight of all my travels. Would love to return here and will be recommending this place to all my family and friends.

Nothing really, wished we could stay there longer and use free bikes to explore the Sant Erasmus.. Maybe mosquitos in the evening but the staff offers to use the protective spray they keep in reception area

As part of the family trip to Venice we stayed here for one night only and fully enjoyed our stay. Starting from the booking confirmation, communication was excellent, I've texted the property when we've boarded vaporetto (line 13) and 30 min later we have been picked up with mini bus and welcoming smile (the ride takes 3 min). Pre-booked dinner was excellent, breakfast was simple but very good. You really feel cared by the people who run this place, location is excellent, the beautiful and very quite island to relax after the busy and crowded Venice and only 30 min away! Next morning, on the way back to Venice we've visited Murano, it makes sense to get 1 day pass instead of two single tickets and have the freedom to use vaporettos anytime you wish... Will definitely stay at Il Lato Azzurro next time in Venice, highly recommend!
