Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEverything was fantastic!
Ludovico went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable and memorable. He really couldn't do enough to help us and make us feel at home. If he could help us with any queries, he would do so in a timely fashion. He made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. We would love to come back!

LithuaniaNothing.
All perfect, very nice area in the city of Rome (green and calm, you would not expect to find such actually), relatively easy to get to the metro/bus station (15-20 min walking to the station) and reach city center. Parking place for a car , safe and secure. Nice terrace and cozy room. Friendly and helpful owners. Very comfortable stay.

GermanyAs clearly stated in the description of the location, getting from the location into the city center required a 15-20 min walk along a street with heavy traffic or waiting on a (sometimes unpredictable) bus. This was the only inconvenience, we suffered during our stay. We adjusted to it quickly.
The location is wonderful. Sitting on the terrace in the morning, enjoying a coffee and watching the birds in the park was a great start into our day. Ludovico was very nice and supportive and his parents are sweethearts. He helped us find the right things to be doing and gave some very interesting insights about the city and Italian culture. The mattresses were maybe the best we ever slept on. A small tip for fellow guests, the naturasi which is close by at the via aurelia has a cafe which is an excellent, close by option for having breakfast.

CanadaThe only two issues and both very minor. First, to have breakfast you need to buy and keep in your room or go out to a local restaurant. The TV was a little small for the size of the room. Again, very minor issues that are easily compensated for.
The manager, Ludovico was an excellent host from the moment I arrived until departure. property was fantastic, well situated with a beautiful relaxing garden area that was quiet and away from the traffic areas and city noise. The room was very spacious, bed super comfortable and the bathroom and shower setup was excellent. The surroundings made it very easy to relax and enjoy my stay in Rome. Public transport was close by and both it and the Taxi services allowed easy access to the inner city and sites of Rome.

United KingdomThis place aptly proves its exceptional rating. The host Ludovico is an amazing person and being a traveller himself, he knows what his guests need. This place is boutique. Please note you are getting a chance to stay in a 200 year old property reinnovated with all modern amenities. Everything is planned and organised in the perfect way. Beds are super comfy. A half day can be spent at the property. A tip- Ask the host about the heritage of this place and how his ancestors managed to keep this lovely place.

NetherlandsOnly small disadvantage is that it is not in the center of Rome: you have to walk 20 mins to the metro along a big road (with a pavement so that’s safe but it’s not a pretty walk) or take a 5 min bus. But the advantages of staying at such a nice place far outweigh this minor disadvantage.
Great BnB. Only five rooms, which are almost brand new, are quite big and nicely decorated. The place is very quiet and a beautiful garden. Good wifi, free coffee and tea, very friendly and helpful host.

GermanyLarge room and bathroom. A wonderful new renovation! Large shower cabin! The room has everything you need. In the large living room you can have breakfast on your own, there is tea and coffee. There is a large garden on the territory, there is a separate exit to the park nearby. In the evening, it's nice to sit on the terrace and drink something. I liked everything! The bus stop is a 5-minute walk away. Ludovico is very friendly and open to communication with guests.

United KingdomWe were fully aware on booking that the hotel is a good 20 minute walk along the main road to the metro (tough after a long hot day pounding the streets of Rome, but it did provide an impressive addition to my step count! 😀) If you prefer not to walk, there’s a bus from the main road a short walk from the hotel to the metro.
Our host Ludovico was amazing - providing a lovely welcome and great information and advice in the lead up to, and throughout our stay. Lovely large, spotlessly clean room with a great attention to detail regarding design - also with fridge. Bed and pillows were super comfy. Large, very well appointed ensuite bathroom with very nice towels and all toiletries provided. The house itself is spacious and set in beautiful grounds right next to a lovely park. Secure gated off-street parking with access via electronic remote control. Some rooms have a private balcony; while we didn’t, we did have access to the outside patio, and also had the opportunity to purchase beer, wine and snacks. Coffee and tea were free. Metro tickets were also available to purchase which was really handy. Excellent wifi throughout the property. Located in a nice suburb of Rome - with plenty of restaurant options within 15 minutes’ walk. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would absolutely stay again when in Rome.

FinlandLocal buses did not always run with any schedule, once on our way to hotel waiting time was longer than half an hour and the buses were often very crowded. You could alternatively walk 15-20 minutes to the neatest metro station. Small breakfast included to the price was provided by nearby cafe, which opened at 8am. We often left already earlier.
Very friendly host, spacy and quiet room in very good shape, big shared room for having your own breakfast, garden outside
