We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Porta Faenza! It was a last minute booking so I was just happy to have a room but I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in to this little gem of a hotel. The spacious room was gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive and gave us plenty of nearby restaurant suggestions. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. I would definitely stay here again!

The beds were a bit firm for our taste.

The breakfast was quite good. Pretty much standard fare for a Florentine breakfast, and very good quality. The room was spacious by European standards, as well as the shower. The staff were very helpful. The best aspect may be the location, which was on "Via Faenza". This street contains a charming collections of restaurants (osterias, trattorias), bars and other shops. It really comes to life at night. The wifi was excellent. Staff member available 24 hours.

Hotel Porta Faenza is in a great location. It is close to the train station and an easy walk to restaurants, markets, and the tourist centre of Florence. The hotel has an elevator. All the staff were polite and helpful with our enquiries. Our triple room was large with a lovely modern bathroom. We loved the painted ceiling and room décor. The hotel and room was sparkling clean. There was a large breakfast room.

Maybe the breakfast could be improved on but other than everything was good.

This is a lovely quirky hotel. Staff are fabulous and do their best to be helpful Wished we could have stayed for more than one night.

Beautiful hotel, everything what you need (S.M.N train station) and want to see (landmarks, shops, bars, trattorias... ) is just aroun the corner. Very delcious breakfast.

The bathroom is way too small. The shower cubicle is so small, no room to turn about during showering, even for us, Asian size.

Hotel location is excellent, allows us to walk about visiting places of interest within the old town district. Room interior decoration is pleasing.

Second stay at the Faenza. Great hotel within walking distance from train station and all major sights in Florence. Helpful staff on reception. Pleasant staff in breakfast room always welcoming and restocking if necessary. Fresh coffee made to order.

It would be nice to have blackout curtains in the bedroom. The light from the atrium brightly shines through all night. Also, a suggestion would be nice to have a ledge/shelf in the bathroom to place toiletries, makeup bag. Could use softer pillows.

There didn't appear to be a toilet on the ground floor to access during breakfast, we had to go back to our room. That said, I didn't ask if there was one.

Room was a very good size, had very comfy beds, pleasant decor with Florence feel. Excellent shower, nice toiletries, although I should have brought my conditioner. Good aircon. The room was quiet so we slept very well without any disturbance.
