Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Statesthe rooms were large, but very empty. Could make a little more with the space.
the location by the port is wonderful. Also, the rooftop bar/dip pool was a nice touch. The hotel was also very knowledgeable about all things going on.

The location to the marina and it was a quick walk up the steps to the main town, or you can take the shuttle bus, which leaves from right out the front We also had a sea view

AustraliaBeautiful large terrace from our room, To celebrate my birthday we wanted to have drinks on the terrace - but they could not supply glasses only offer us small plastic cups that spoilt the whole celebration. Strongly suggest they have wine and champagne glasses available for guests on request (even if they are plastic)
Excellent Hotel on the beachfront in Sorrento. Marvelous terrace overlooking the Gulf. Brilliant rooftop pool and bar area with beautiful sea views. Staff were very attentive and the attached restaurant a real find. Close to transport to the city centre - we took the bus up to town and the lift back down to the waterfront. Lots of local bars and restaurants.

IrelandIf you want a sun lounger at the pool it cos 15 euro per person for the day, which I find a bit unfair as you would think access in a hotel you'd already paid money for a room would be free. Never heard of charging for chairs in hotels before. You can still use the tables and chairs though and the pool.
Fantastic location at the port of Sorrento making ferry access and access to the centre so convenient. Large clean comfortable room and bathroom. Nice rooftop area with small pool/ seating and bar.

United KingdomThere is a charge of 15 euro per sunbed which when your a resident of the hotel I think is wrong . Because of the location of the hotel there are lots of steps to get here and back up to sorrento town.
Great location on the port and beach clubs . Roof top bar lovely . Our room was nice but small and was cleaned daily Air con was fab

United KingdomMy bathroom was small and dated. There were dozens of speckles of mould on every tile within the room. Whilst the rooftop bar area is great, having to pay €50 for a sun lounger is excessive.
The rooftop bar is excellent and has a beautiful view across the coast. The staff are friendly and helpful with any enquiries or issues. The rooms are cleaned and tidied daily. Breakfast was OK and it is only a short walk to the marina or to the lift to get to the centre of town.

AustraliaPool facilities are ok, although drinks were dear and 15€ for a lounge chair at a location you probably wouldn’t spend a lot of time at
Restaurant was good value and friendly staff This Hotel is located at port level, so stairs to to the street level or short walk to the town lift 1€ Make sure you do Pathway to the gods walking tour while you in Sorrento

AustraliaFront desk staff weren’t very friendly and asking questions felt like you were interrupting them. The room was noisy as on the road side and didn’t help that other guests were noisy finding their room at 11.30pm
the room was clean, bed was comfortable and air con worked. The 4th floor pool was ok. Was a fantastic location right next to the port for ferries and boat tours. The ladies at breakfast (free breakfast with a good choice of items) were great.

RomaniaThe pool is too small, I guess they had a skilled photographer for the advertising, at least drop the name infinity pool please The breakfast was poor but that’s my opinion in general with hotels in Europe, what I didn’t find anywhere else is that if they run out of something in the morning they don’t replenish it as someone else said here
The location is great if you use the ferry, you are close to a little shop where u can buy water cause they don’t give u one in the room or in the mini bar ( the first time I had an empty mini bar) U can go to the city center using the stairs, the lift or the bus The staff was ok

MexicoThere was a lady I the area of reception, not Valeria, she was great, the other long black hair, she was rude by explaining the rules of use of the pool, she started to argue with me about that, saying that this is what I pay for a 3 stars hotel, if I wanted better should I stay somete else!!! I work in the hotel industry and I understand that the culture is so different than in Mexico is, but getting to a point that you argue with ure client for no reason??
The sky bar view and the general manager attention was incredible, the restaurants on the bottom of the hotel, the food was fantastic!!! I can say was the. Highlight of my entire trip! Thank you so much!
