Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceShower was very ‘rustic’ but good water pressure.
Met my expectations for a very short stop over in Milan at a cheap price. Very basic but comfortable single room - with a single bed, but I slept like a baby. Very friendly staff !

FinlandThere was a really bad smell coming from the bathroom, that did not go away even though we had our window open the whole night. Small shower cabin. Not many breakfast options.
We picked this hotel because of the location - near the metro (just 20 minutes to Linate airport) and not a long walk from the city center.

MaltaThe quadruple room was to small and the shower was too small and not easy to get inside it. The breakfast area was so small and there was no place for all the guests to sit down.
The breakfast was good.

United KingdomWasn't many options for breakfast (extremely basic) and given very small bowls for cereal and coffee.
Easy check in. Clean rooms and bathrooms. 30-40 minute walk to Duomo and tourist attractions. Short metro ride from Linate airport. We were in the basement so no street noise. Basic continental breakfast included. Did the job for 1 night stay in Milan

United KingdomThe breakfast was terrible. I think they would do better to offer rooms on a bed-only basis, rather than call the meagre, poor quality offerings‘ ‘breakfast’..
The room was lovely and clean, but the bedding was a bit tatty

Portugali was expecting a little bit more from breakfast and size of bathroom. Once i was traveling with my family and yang baby.
The owner and staffs on night shift are really nice and helpful. The breakfast is basic and the is no lift. So you should take in mind before go with baby trolly and heavy lugages on the stairs.

United KingdomThe AC didn’t work so it was very warm in the room. When we opened the window, it was very noisy too. The bed was also quite hard. The shower was very small and the bathroom smelt a lot of smoke which was strange.
Location was great, had a metro stop just outside and really nice cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff were nice too and it was pretty good value for money. It was good that we had a balcony but it was very small and had the AC on which made it really warm.

ItalyThere was a bad smell in the room and if you're staying downstairs, the train station will make noise every time the train passes through.
The bed was comfortable, the room was relatively clean. Netflix on TV, air conditioning, and it was quite. The breakfast was passable.

United KingdomMy room was on the top floor and there was no lift which is not ideal for carrying a luggage. The member of staff on the evening did carry it for me after I asked. My room was ok for sn overnight stay, but the bathroom looked really tired. The breakfast was well stocked but quality poor. For what it was, the stay wasn’t value for money.
Central position and very friendly staff.

United KingdomIt’s still quite a way into the centre of Milan and it’s quite far from the station, you’d need to book taxis, you can use the tram services like suggested although it can be confusing!
The staff were super friendly and the room was well kept but fairly basic, it’s probably about the right value for what you get
