Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

UkraineVery noisy: you should consider to use earplugs if you have light sleep. Our room has street-view window, maybe yard-view is better. You should leave your keys each time on your way out from hotel. Breakfast has a very small amount of options, but food is delicious.
The hotel is not far from many famous tourist spots and central railway station. Rooms are okay: clean, comfortable with all needed equipment. Everyone from the staff is very friendly and kind.

The hotel has a nice atmosphere, the breakfast was good, location is good to and easy to reach different attractions. We had a really late check in and the staff was very helpful and friendly to welcome us and handle our car until next morning, when they took it to the garage.

United StatesThe only strange thing is you must leave the key at the reception and collect it upon return. I assume because they need to clean the room. Not really an issue I’m just not used to it.
It’s located next to a big park. The rooms are spacious with a nice bathroom including an Italian bidet. Coffee and tea selection available in the room with a fridge and small minibar.

TurkeyWe were planning to stay 3 nights in the hotel but due to strikte in Italy airports on 24th of November, our flight has been cancelled and we kindly ask to change the dates to 2 nights and get 1 day refund explaining the situtation and we have evidence as it was not our choice. But they did not accept as changes can be made 48 hours prior to check in. I know there are certain rules and I'm not a new traveller, I expected them to make 1 day refund in terms of good will as I mentioned we wanted to change the dates beacuse of the strike. Still it was a nice hotel and staff.
The personel was really nice and welcomed us warmly. The rooms were clean, a little bit small but enough. The breakfast was really good, better that we expected. We were travelling with a baby and they were really helpful about that. The hotel is really close to tourist attractions.
