POOR WIFI

Difficult to get in and out thru the city. Very narrow streets and a lot of people to navigate thru. Limited parking. Some maintenance needed on the shutters and balcony doors. If any neighbors open the door or shutters you can hear them screeching from lack of lubrication and silicone caulking on the glass.

Gorgeous old building. It rained too much to make much use of the gorgeous pool area. The scenery and construction are top level for its age.

Room needs maintenance. Shower rose holder is broken although a new one has been put on it is floppy and held up by the broken one. Only one side of the French door out to the wonderful balcony can open..

Loved the location, in old town close to ferries, ruins and cafes. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

A bit of furniture renovation would add more value.

Uniquely located in the middle of the historic village. In proximity to both the commercial area, archaeological site, and other touristic sites such as the thermal bath and swimming beach.

The property, including rooms, is very old and to keep the 4-stars it would need a refurbishment

Apart from the hotel needing some TLC the staff weren’t very helpful except for one man. The lady on reception needs more training as she refused to issue a receipt at check out and ended up delaying us 25 minutes for taxi to airport. She also told us to search on Google for any info about the area when we asked about pharmacy/supermarkets etc. Not very professional in my opinion. There was no atmosphere in the hotel it felt like we were the only ones staying there at times.

Very good location only a minutes walk to restaurants and shops. Good air conditioning all around the hotel. Pool was nice but not like the pictures.

ants in one area the room however I have been elsewhere and had this issue. wallpaper coming off walls and sockets. it needs TLC but very good value for money given the breakfast, pool and location. hotel was fairly empty probably due to low rating which meant little atmosphere however we were hardly in the hotel as so much to see and do.

pool and rooms cleaned everyday. location was amazing and parking which is rare. staff were lovely. we had two balconies one large overlooking the pool. staff were very helpful . pool was fantastic very clean and relaxing. breakfast had a lot of choice considering catering for all nationalities.

It just looks a bit tired and lacked some energy and vibrancy - nothing really enticed you into stopping around the bar/lounge area and there was no signs of any diners in the restaurant.

The hotel has all the facilities needed for a good stay, great pool, bar etc. The location is amazing and the staff were very polite.

The place is very dated and in desperate need of TLC Not helpful at all about question for airport transfer, was told to go out of castle walls and wait....good job we didn't as nobody could get a taxi on our transfer day, so pleased we had pre booked one ourselves

Very outdated and expensive. Wifi unreliable. The owner could do with investing some money to update the rooms. The closet doors would not close properly and neither the fridge door.

The whole hotel and its facilities needs investment. The swimming pool needed cleaning, there was never anybody in the bar and it was difficult to get a drink. Breakfast was OK but no hot food. The worst thing is that there was nothing in the bedroom mini-bar - not even a bottle of water. Drawer space in the bedroom was non-existent. There is a large restaurant but the hotel was only serving breakfast. The carpet on the main stairs was dirty and needed replacement and the decoration in the bedroom was gloomy - maroon and sludge colour. Overall service was a bit like Fawlty Towers, reception could not print out our train tickets and the QR codes as their computer was too old fashioned. The staff were pleasant and the rooms were clean and it was not expensive. But whoever owns the hotel needs to do some serious updating and improvement

The management had my booking and there was somebody in reception when I arrived at around 7pm - later than I had originally intended as I came on the train and did not need the parking space I had requested.

the stairs to access the pool and the pool deck was uneven and narrow. felt a little dangerous at times. I didn’t get a room with a balcony which is what I booked. instead, I got a double room with no balcony or view and the hardest mattress ever! the breakfast area felt super dated and the staff wasn’t very friendly.

the location was great! I liked being close to the main drag but away from the heavy foot traffic and noise. the pool was so nice in the heat. daytime front desk staff was super helpful and friendly.

There was no bar facility in hotel or for the pool and mini bars in rooms were not stocked and didn't keep anything cold .

location in centre of old town close to shops restaurants and bars . good air conditioning in room and access to a nice swimming pool . staff were helpful in providing maps and local information .

Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but this hotel has a pretty interesting, peculiar vibe. It's authentic starting from the staff, the cat in the lobby and the original furniture from mid 20th century. It's definitely great for a short stay.
