Breakfast was reasonable. We would have appreciated gluten-free options (to be fair, we did get some things when we asked). On a similar note, choices were very limited at the only restaurant there. It would have been good to have had more vegetarian and gluten-free options. But they did their best to accommodate us.

AM traffic, busy housekeeping…tour groups leaving at 7 AM…Loud ….insulating/maintenance of / walls and floors needed..

Upon arriving as a solo 73year old woman..I was immediately welcomed, smiled at, SIMONE was so very positive and helpful…relax and breathe… I was there for one night, had no desire at all to leave the hotel.. I had dinner on the Terrezza…wonderful breakfast ( included) the next morning The customer service at this hotel is stellar…specially SIMONE! I live in Italy…native born Californian..have traveled to Siena a few times..

Self-serve coffee machines, were not my favorite, and were broken at breakfast, but staff worked hard to get our coffee from the bar or kitchen for us.

Very accomodating front desk. Beautiful views from terrace. Nice breakfast. Hardworking and hospitable staff! Very close proximity to Il Campo and sites. All walkable (uphill and downhill)!

Everything. The staff was exceptionally helpful, the room was great, the hotel was spotless, the location great... only 4 blocks from the incredible Piazza Del Campo and 2 blocks from shops and restaurants yet the area around the hotel was quiet and right on the city wall with beautiful vistas from the roof's patio. The hotel's restaurant was wonderful. The included breakfast was delicious with loads of choices from meats, sausages, eggs to fruits and veggies plus fresh pastries that were exceptional. ( The custard filled Corronti con crema should not be missed ) To sum it up I will always choos the Athena when I return to Siena which I hope to do soon. All in all it was a wonderful magical stay. The best of our almost month long European vacation.

The hotel was in a great location, easy walking distance to many attractions within the city walls. The reception staff were excellent. They assisted with dinner reservations, booking tickets for the opera and general suggestions regarding sightseeing. We had a car and were able to park on the property which was very helpful. Highly recommend

Because it is located inside the castle walls, it was very comfortable to explore the city. The hotel's parking lot is also quite spacious, which is a big advantage for those traveling by car.

From the minute we arrived, we were super-impressed by the level of service from each member of the team; Martina, Carlos and Simone on the Reception and the whole Breakfast room team were exceptional and made us feel really welcome. The location of the hotel was great for us - just 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral, and from the stunning Piazza de Campo. It was spotlessly clean, the bedlinen was high quality and the views from our bedroom window were spectacular!

The wifi was really bad, with constant disconnections, it was impossible to use. The breakfast was also meh, given it's Italy I'd expect more fresh stuff and better quality in general. Things felt heavily industrialized and/or frozen which was not great.

The rooms were extremely clean! The hotel offered free still and sparkling water every day to take to the city which was super nice. Staff was really helpful and the location of the hotel is quite close to the city center, which was one of the best cities we've ever been in Italy.

We lived the hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We especially enjoyed having a glass of wine in the bar before going out to dinner. The bar and the terrace have gorgeous views of the Tuscan countryside. We were so impressed with Aldo who did a fine job managing the bar. He was very personable and took pride in doing his job well. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices. They had a hard working wait staff who assured a great start to the day.
