Not much we didn't like

We liked so many things about this small, intimate family run location. From check in to checkout the family took FANTASTIC care to make our stay perfect. I would highly recommend this location for the above mentioned reasons and also for its value and location, so close to the main piazza. 😀

The location is very good - right off the central square and close to good restaurants and many of the sites. The best part of the stay was the staff. They are amazing! They were very kind and generous, even taking special care to set out a cold breakfast for us because we had to leave very early in the morning before their normal breakfast hours. They arranged taxis, gave us great recommendations for visiting locations, made dinner reservations, and shared a lot of information about the city. They take great care of the hotel property and guests - it felt like being at home with family.

The owners are an incredible family, they speak Portuguese, always willing to help with everything. They made our stay super pleasant and familiar. The hotel has a restaurant nearby that is wonderful. The location is great, in the center and close to everything, with parking car nearby.

Everything was perfect.

It was the breathtaking location right in the middle of the little town of Assisi. My train was delayed from Rome and they were very nice to let us to do late check-ins. It was a lovely generational-family-run property and restaurant (a great ristorante that we learnt later on, that it was always full with local Italians as well as well-travelled tourists).

The owners went out of their way to help us with parking etc. And make us welcome and comfortable. Their restaurant serves excellent food at great prices. Rooms are spacious. The location is great, right by the main square of the town.

The location was great for us. The Assisi town is beautiful and in that smaller area, there is just so much to see and do. We visited in March so I imagined it would be even busier in the higher season. Our hotel was great, family run establishment and everyone was so polite, helpful and helped direct us with maps to some sights we shouldn't miss. Given the short stay, it was very good to have that piece of information. The people in the town like restaurants and shops were equally helpful and the sights were just awesome. Our needs were met and would stay at Hotel Pax should we travel back to visit.

The hotel was quaint and charming… after all, the original building was constructed in the 14th century. But the bathroom was updated, the lift was modern, the room was spotless and very quiet. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about Hotel Pax.

Room is a bit small.

The location is so accessible to churches and restaurants and not to forget the security ( a police station as their neighbor).

The bed was a little too hard for our liking. Basic breakfast.

The proprietor and staff were all excellent and helpful. You can tell the care that they had for their property. Location was convenient to walking to St. Francis Basilica and other churches we wanted to visit. Very convenient to a lovely piazza. It was also a few meters from the church of St. Mary Maggiore where we were surprised to see Blessed Carlo Acutis’ nearly incorrupted body.

The single room was rather small but had everything I needed. Extremely good value.

Everything. Antonio and the family are friendly and helpful. It was such a pleasure meeting them. The hotel is simple, cozy, beautiful with a very tasty breakfast and just few steps to the centre of Assisi. I strongly recommend the place to everyone thinking about going to Assisi.
