The lunch pool/deck food menus were a bit limited.

Location location, location Stunning classy hotel on top of cliff with fabulous views. The pool and deck over the sea were very good and the pool deck staff very attentive.

It is hard to find a fault. The AC in our room had a fan which was slightly loud, but that is nitpicking, and it was not loud enough for us to mention it.

Unforgettable location, interior design, and amenities. The staff were so responsive and friendly and made it feel like we were VIPs, providing courtesy rooms when we arrived early.

Gorgeous hotel with beautiful facilities , excellent service and walking distance to the town centre (approx 10 minutes). Delicious breakfast with outstanding views from the restaurant. Loved our time here and would definitely stay here again.

Just incredible. Yes, it’s a 5* in a great location, but the staff are just superb - from the reception, to the bar staff, to the restaurant waiters, to the pool attendants, to the housekeeping staff - all were wonderful A fantastic stay and we’ll definitely be back

A beach bag would have been useful.

Gorgeous bedroom,newly refurbished, overlooking the sea and the gardens. We loved the foliage around the hotel terrace providing pretty shade while we had drinks. The sea deck below the hotel was very nice too with direct access to the sea and plenty of sun beds. All the staff were excellent.

My only tiny gripe is that the sea swimming area is prone to collecting debris brought in by the sea, I wish the staff there would perhaps collect these debris out of the water every 2 hours or so.

An exceptionally well maintained property with views on the Naples bay out of a postcard. The staff is very attentive and the poolside restaurant is amazing.

The 'gym' was very disappointing - it was small with just 3 cardio machines. No dumbbells or proper weights. Limited space on the floor for your own exercises. There is one main restaurant and one snack bar by the beach with a limited selection of options to choose from.

We felt very much at home thanks to the friendliness of the staff who we got to know and the intimacy of the hotel. We couldn't imagine staying in Sorrento without access to the sea, so the private beach was a great addition. The pool was equally as comfortable and the bar/restaurant had some stunning views of the coast, volcano, and sunset. The hotel room was spacious, comfortable and quiet.

Reception staff could have been a bit friendlier and more obliging.

Exquisite hotel. Quiet and elegant. Magnificent views, great breakfast, relaxing beach club with mesmerising views and easy access to swim in the sea, lovely pool area, relaxed ambiance. Will definitely come back to this beautiful hotel. Quite expensive but worth it.

Everything was perfect. Great check in to a lovely clean and spacious room by Max. Pool area is stunning and staff attentive. Food was exceptional and we enjoyed watching our food being cooked flame grilled in front of us. Guiseppi very helpful and attentive at the beach bar, which is also stunning. Helped with a bad sting bite very quickly too!

There was nothing to dislike

Location, cleanliness, very friendly and helpful staff nothing was too much trouble for them. Having a late flight even after check out we were able to use all their facilities like the pool etc. The hotel offers a courtesy room you can use for a shower or freshen up.

For a honeymoon indulgence, this was the best choice possible. This was easily the nicest hotel room we've ever seen, and the staff was amazing on all fronts. The property is beautiful, and the view can't be beat. The hotel was very easy to find, and walkable to everything in Sorrento. We're so glad we chose to stay at the Ambasciatori.

5 star luxury but without being stuffy. Amazing views. Huge grounds and gardens so never felt like we were in a busy place even though hotel was full. Wonderful breakfast and restaurant.
