Food was basic and overpriced. Pool on Sunday is open to public and packed with Italian families - no room for guests. Safe in rooms didn’t work. Door had had some previous security issues as clearly been pushed in - on both our rooms.

The pool is amazing. The area has some nice restaurants but you’re out of the way.

I'm glad was a hot weather because if my holiday was during the winter would be hard to have a shower because the water was always very cold.

The views from the hotel are amazing. The room was always very clean and the gardens around the hotel were awesome.

Room is a bit outdated but overall is clean and comfortable. Perhaps the shower door should be upgraded though. There was so much water leaked out the door gap when taking a shower.

It has 2 lovely swimming pools where young children can enjoy some splashing while the grown up can enjoy swimming. The location is also great for visiting Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi Coast.

The inside of the hotel could do with a little bit of a facelift as it’s starting to look a little dated. While the food was always fresh the evening menu only had a couple of choices on it. Shower leaked in both rooms.

We had a great stay at the Grand Hotel Moon Valley as a family of six including children. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating especially when it came to dietary requirements in the dining hall. Super clean hotel both inside and out. The pools are great especially the smaller shallow pool which is perfect for toddlers. The hotel is set in a beautiful location with views of Vesuvius and the surrounding area and we enjoyed many an evening at the poolside bar watching the sunsets. Great breakfast selection and fresh pizza at lunch for only EUR 10.

Dated rooms and interior, no seals on anything so the hotel is very noisy, if you have anyone in the rooms around you, you will hear them. Wait staff at breakfast didn't do anything or ask if we needed help or drinks, never received any coffee. Only one person ever working front desk and they are very overworked, could not really pay attention to any person for more than a few seconds. On check out the front desk said the payment i did on Booking was not received so i had to pay there. I said ok and paid again. Afterwards i checked my booking account and credit card and payment had been posted. I went back to get my money back and the same thing was happening to someone else. After raising the issue by both of us they said ok and gave my money back in Cash and did not make the other person pay. Seemed very disorganized.

Hotel was nice but feels a bit dated. Got an upgrade from the room we booked which was nice. Staff was helpful for the most part. Breakfast was ok, large selection of items available. Great views from the sea view rooms and a nice garden on the property.

Whatever you do - DO NOT EAT THE FOOD HERE! An absolute tip off and the nastiest food I have ever eaten. Not Italian and was very much like the Faulty towers food. I have had carpaccio many times before and what was given was NOT that… it was literally JUST rocket on top of meat and an enormous slice of lemon… No garnishes whatsoever which is integral to the dish as it is very simple… When I complained I was tutted away and still had to pay for it €60!!! I would still like a refund for this meal!!! Either buy snacks from the local shop or have food before you go back to the hotel as there is not any local restraunt that don't require an immense walk up or down a hill.

The property had an amazing view and pool areal was very clean and safe -great in the heat of the Italian summer If you are a seasoned traveller and don't mind getting the train any time you want to go anywhere (as taxis are NOT a thing and apparently cost €70 according to the hote if you want to go anywhere l) and know what you're doing, the location is completely fine and a great second if you can't afford sorrento like us -bonus it had a lovely pool with a view which is mega bucks in Sorrento.

The wifi was slow. The noise from the road was dramatically reduced with the double-glazed windows. There was some noise from corridors though.

We booked a sea-facing room with a balcony and I'm glad we did. The view and sunsets from our 3rd floor room were lovely. The good-sized balcony had a table with two chairs. The staff at the desk were helpful and friendly. We used the parking garage, which was great. As well as a king-size bed there was a desk and two padded chairs. We asked at reception and were given a kettle and cups so we could make a hot drink. The first night we ate in the restaurant. It was a limited choice 3 course menu at a set price. Generally they ask you to choose the night before. It was all delivered to the table promptly by formally dressed staff. There is also a bar by the pool. Breakfast was good with the usual cereals, hot and cold foods.

It was incredibly noisy, the walls and ceilings are paper thin. The location is not great with a thin dangerous walk path to the train station 15 mins away. The breakfast was so basic and scarce a huge disappointment on top of a bad nights sleep. I will NOT be staying at this hotel again.

The views and swimming pool are the only positive advantage to the hotel

There is a very busy road in front of the hotel which is very noisy and remains busy deep into the night. The worse is the unexpected Saturday night disco with very loud music and deep bass sounds that resonate very loudly into the rooms causing vibrations of the windows. This lasts until 12 midnight. Personnel did not even There are other options in the surroundings.

Good location, close to railway station that brings you to Sorrento, Pompei or Naples. Sufficient parking space.

A nice pool area but the hotel is not deserving of 4 stars …

The evening/dinner food had terrible options, and was awful tasting - only 3 options for main meal, we ordered ‘beef meatballs’ which was a bowl of mashed potato with 3 meatballs on top! They have a ‘vegetable buffet’ which was only soggy boiled: cauliflower, carrots, green beans, a mediterranean veg mix and a bowl of lettuce. The road outside of the hotel to walk into the town is busy and unsafe. Weekends are very busy and noisy by the pool as the locals use it too & there are often events held in the hotel and the guests will crowd in the outside bar area. The flowers behind all the sunbeds attract wasps so couldn’t relax sometimes. The bar does not serve any snacks or ice cream during the day. The rooms are very basic and are two singles pushed together that slide apart during the night.

The pool area is great - clean & enough sun beds/umbrellas during weekdays so you don’t have to get up early to reserve them. They have a free shuttle bus to Sorrento every day (book a few days in advance). The bar for drinks is open all day until very late and they have a good lunch menu (homemade pizza, salads, sandwiches, fries etc). There is a young man who plays the guitar by the bar in the evenings who is very good. I recommend the pizzeria across the road instead of the evening hotel food, or walk down the steps to the beach front where there are other nice restaurants.

Nothing negative to comment on re our stay at this great hotel!

The staff were extraordinarily friendly, which made a great impression on us and made our stay extremely enjoyable. Umberto and Vincenzo were especially hospitable and attentive to ensure our stay was perfect. The swimming pool and surrounding furnishings were a great highlight. Similarly, the balcony views overlooking the Gulf of Naples and on to Vesuvius were magnificent. The pizza served in the poolside restaurant at lunch was the best we have had on this trip! 👌 The hotel is convenient to Seiano station which provides easy access to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Herculaneum as well as Sorrento in the other direction. There are some great restaurant options close by and a fantastic deli/minimarket across the road.
