Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyRailroad extremely close to the hotel and trains were passing on high speed making the place noisy. Also, the bed was not that comfortable. As a total stay I would suggest it if you don't look for something fancy, but for sure the train noise is factor that gives a bad score. To be honest all the hotels at that place face the same issue.
Nice location very close to the beach. Nice view from the balcony, and very clean. The price was very low for such a place.

LatviaPillows were not comfortable at all. Breakfast average.
The location is great, a bit noisy because of trains but earplugs solved my problem easily even though I have a fox sleep. Staff is friendly. It's a nice family hotel for the great price if you are looking just for the place where to spend the couple of nights. A lot of places to eat around. 5 minute walk to the beach.

United KingdomIt was also next to a train railway, and it made a lot of noise. We had to sleep with the windows open, because AC costs 5 euros per day.
It was close to the beach, they clean everyday. The owner was nice enough to wait for us late at night, because our flight was canceled.

LithuaniaThe hotel is located just by the rail so during the night it can get pretty loud when cargo trains pass by, so sleeping with open windows is not really optimal. Meanwhile, you have to pay extra for air conditioning, it's 5 euros per day. I also had a friend who came over two times during my 5-day stay at the hotel, always just for a few hours and never staying over the night, yet the hotel staff asked my friend to pay extra money and to register as a second guest in the room, so there isn't that much privacy in the hotel.
The hotel itself was quiet, with not very many people. The room was tidy and had the necessary amenities. It is located not far from the sea - just about 5 minutes on foot, but there is no public beach nearby, only many different private beaches, so you have to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas to be able to stay by the sea. There is a lot of nice restaurants in the area and a mini market just on the corner. There is a metro line and a bus that can get you to the city center in under 20 minutes.

PolandThe rail track right next to the building made our stay pretty noisy. Also keep in mind that there is an AC but you need to pay for it to work.
Breakfast was tasty. Bathroom was being cleaned daily. Stuff was very friendly.

SlovakiaAir conditioning and parking are paid. There is a limited number of parking spaces, but we found parking on the street and even for free. Right next to the hotel there are the train tracks what was unpleasant in the evening when you are trying to fall asleep.
Very good accessibility to the beach and for the evening walks.

HungaryThe room was small and poorly equipped, for example it would have been nice to have a fridge in the room. We barely got to sleep because of the trains.
The staff was really nice. The hotel is close to the beach and main shopping street.

ItalyI really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Frida. The rooms are spacious enough, renewed and clean, same for the bathrooms. The location is very convenient, just a very short walk to reach the seaside. Restaurants and bars are very close as well, but far enough to let you sleep well at night. I also liked the atmosphere as it is a family run hotel where there can still be a personal relation with the staff and owners. I recommend it and I would stay again.
