Very few facilities that can be used, for example, no kettle in the room, no hair dryer, etc. can be improved. But for the price paid at this location in Venice, the place lives up to expectations.

It’s quite easy to hear people coming home late at night or checking in late, so we were woken a few times by noisy neighbours.

Great location as everything was within a 5-15 minute walking distance. The facilities were fantastic and our room was large, comfortable, and clean. The receptionist was lovely and very kind, and even provided us with many fantastic local recommendations.

The room had the very basic amenities - with shared bathroom. During my stay at the beginning of October it mostly rained and it got quite cold during the night - but there were no extra blankets in the closet (and the one available on the bed was no good for warmth). Poor breakfast options.

Centrally located in the Castello district, it's close to major attractions like Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge. The guesthouse is situated in a historic palazzo, which adds to the authentic Venetian experience. Helpful and friendly staff.

I don't remember anything.

The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood near Campo Santa Maria Formosa, with the Acqua alta bookshop around the corner and both San Marco and the Rialto a 10-minute walk away. The hotel is a beautiful historic palace with lovely views on all sides. A varied breakfast is served on the second floor so that we can enjoy the view. The hotel/hostel is not luxurious but it is comfortable and with friendly staff. All the listed amenities are available.

Basic room in excellent location in Venice. Reasonable sized room with working air-conditioning and a comfortable bed. Generous breakfast included in the price with fresh water and hot drinks available anytime.

We stayed in late August and although there was a fan in the room, we really needed air conditioning. It was uncomfortably hot and humid in the night and the separate bathroom was even worse.

The room didn’t seem to cool down, even with the airconditioning and fans.

It’s small, compact, and clean. Just what we needed. The location is lovely and quite central to what we had planned. We received a list of recommended restaurants from the staff, which was excellent. The breakfast buffet wasn’t luxurious, but it was definitely enough and delicious.

The building is old and this is reflected in the rooms. There was a massive gap in the door to the hallway and our bathroom door couldn't close properly

Really lovely reception and cleaning staff. We couldn’t figure out how to get the air conditioning to work but we asked the reception staff and they were so lovely and showed us how to use it. A great location and would stay here again.

Nothing. I could try to find little things like the number of sockets in the room, but this would be totally unfair at this price point. I really loved the place and its energy.

Foresteria Valdese Venezia is run by a Christian organization, which I didn't know before. It's a very old building with lots of Venician charme. The staff is super friendly and very welcoming. My room was super simple, but had AC – which was quite important, as Venice was very hot at this time of the year. Everything was super clean and the value for money was awesome. Location is also great. Right in the middle of everything. At this price the accommodation is unbeatable.
