Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThis is a lovely B and B within walking distance of Florence city centre. It is quiet and there is a lovely peaceful terrace. Angelica was particularly kind when I became ill during the last day of my stay there. Thank you!

United StatesThe shower was tiny and a little difficult to move in but the bathroom was big. The fridge was also very tiny and on the floor so not as accessible as other accommodation we stayed in.
Great location, easy to find from the Santa Maria Novella station, just a 15 mins walk. Huge room with high ceilings and big beautiful windows with a view to the stunning Orthodox church next door. The terrace was massive and a great place to sit as the sun is setting with a drink and watch the bats take flight.

United StatesThere isn't much of anything to be negative about in this urban niche.
The host was amazing and so helpful. Having had breakfast there was a pleasant experience since there is a very large terrace that accommodates a dozen tables (with plenty of sun). The room was beautifully clean. Very, very recommended. The bed there was so comfy, and I had a great sleep.

United StatesAngelica was helpful and accommodated an early check in. Nice balcony and view of orthodox church. Great location. It was a few minutes walk from the the crowded tourist areas. They were easy to get to but it was relaxing to get away from the crowd.

DenmarkThe road was very noisy, it was difficult to sleep, and when opening the windows, the noise was overwhelming. Check in procedure a bit tricky since this has to be done remotely, but with instructions from the host on What's app, this was ok.
Location a little apart from the touristed city centre. Felt safe to walk around. Room was very nice and big with everything needed. Cleaning was excellent, the room was cleaned every day. Nice and big terrace. I didn't have time to have breakfast but this was offered as room service, very nice. The host Angelica responded very fast on What's app.

Czech RepublicBreakfast is quite poor for this price.
Big and nicely decorated room, comfortable bed. It was also quiet during the night because our room was facing the inner block. Lovely terrace with a view to an Orthodox church. Easy 15-minute walk to the city center.

AustraliaIt would have been nice if we'd had glasses in our room for water and drinks. We were supplied with disposable cups, however they were very flimsy and the one I had leaked.
Good location for transport to city centre. Nice cafes and restaurants nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff.

DenmarkThe breakfast that was an additional service was quite poor, although the location where you have it is very nice. But there are plenty of places in Florence were you can have a full breakfast, so it wasn't that big of a deal for me.
The location was excellent, very close to the cultural center but relatively far from the touristic frenzy of Florence. The room was quite spacious and clean with a big balcony and bright.

United KingdomWe were probably a bit further out than I expected, but actually, the walk to and from the places we wanted to visit was fine. I was a bit concerned about Angelica not being on site all the time, but she was always reachable by phone/text, so it wasn't an issue. I would say to anyone, though - watch those paving stones! That's how I injured my ankle
The room with its terrace was lovely and Angelica was very kind and helpful. Whatever questions we asked, Angelica answered and she made our stay stress-free. While there I twisted my ankle quite badly and had to leave early because walking was so difficult. Angelica could not have been kinder. Because of my ankle we visited some places closer to the B&B than we had planned and I am really glad we did - fewer crowds.

RomaniaThe rooms are facing towards quite a big street with traffic, so you just need to be prepared that it won’t be quiet even with closed windows. We indicated during booking that we need 2 separate beds, but additional bad at the room wasn’t prepared. Since we arrived very late, there already was no possibility to ask about it. It didn’t spoil anything, but still.
Clean room, short distance (around 15 minutes) from railway station. Good host who explained all details for our late arrival

AustraliaThe only thing we would have liked would have been the option to make a cup of tea or coffee in the afternoon so we could relax on the terrace after a long day out. Even if it was in a communal area.
The apartment was beautiful, as was the terrace area. It was great to have an elevator for the luggage, though we had to get it up some stairs initially. We found a fabulous pizzeria where I had the best pizza ever - Penta Bistrot. It was a bit of a walk but well worth it. We walked to the old part of town early in the morning, which was lovely. By the end of the day we were worn out and found a bus from the old part of town that stopped right in front of the door. Perfect (though the bus ride was pretty wild - you had to hang on tight). So the location was good, and the bed was comfortable.
