Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only point is the gym as would be nice to have more equipment. At the moment there is just one treadmill, one bike and relatively light dumbbells. Not sure about the huge tv with sofas in the gym.
The hotel is wonderful with a calm and very clean environment. The view is beautiful from any location. The attention to details is impressive. The room was very good with great sea / pool view. The balcony was spacious with two comfortable chairs and table. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and I really appreciated no ornamental cushions on the bed. Everything is spotless and the service is outstanding. Everybody is very professional, attentive and friendly in any area of the hotel. The pool is very good with a decent number of sunbeds. At times could seem that are not enough for all guests but having more than that would make you feel in any average touristic village. It’s also plenty of other seats in the grass and between the bar and the pool there are many comfortable garden chairs. If you prefer swimming in the sea there is a direct access to the beach. Keep in mind that is not a sandy beach and may need rock shoes but you cannot blame the hotel for that. Need to consider that there are no shops and restaurants in walking distance but there is a very nice restaurant on site. Breakfast is also great with great options and tastes even better if can be enjoyed in the garden tables. Apart the quality of the property what makes this hotel outstanding is definitely the quality of the service. Highly recommended.

PolandThe hotel can be reached only by car. So it is better to rent a car or take a taxi if one wants to go to Porto Cervo or San Pantaleoni.
Beautifully located hotel with superb helpful and professional staff. Nice beach with clear water. Great swimming pool. If you are looking for hotel with the possibility of full, deep relaxation - it's the perfect place. I would also recommend to go to spa. Therapist is top of the top. The rescue man on the swimming pool is very polite and helpful.

United KingdomBeach bar only opened on our last couple of days stay. We had booked a villa but when we got there it was on a very steep hill and my partner has a knee problem. The staff did manage to move us to the hotel which saved the holiday What I did see of our villa however was I thought of a poor standard for a luxury resort
Pristine and well located for exploring the island. Staff very friendly and professional Food very good Room clean fast and unobtrusive Setting lovely

South AfricaIt was perfect
I wanted somewhere I could heal after illness. I normally treat holidays as rush rush see everything but this about somewhere I could be safe as a solo traveller and be comfortable. I liked it was away from the hustle and bustle. My room was huge, the food was stunning, alternating from swims in the sea, the pool and the spa. Heaven on earth but the real value of this place is the kindness of the people that work there. Upon arrival, the team have learnt your name, you get a letter welcoming you to their home and some snacks. Thank you so much.

NetherlandsThe beach aint among the nicer ones on the island. Many nearby beaches that are perfect. But you need a car to get to those. Food for breakfast is 8/10 but dinner was not ok. Was also last days of season, maybe in season it is better.

PortugalOnly aesthetic options which are very subjective and debatable.
The way all the staff welcomed and accompanied us during our stay was just perfect. The hotel in general needs a few upgrades but all its flaws (mostly time related) are easily ignored because their staff really does a good job accommodating their guests. Good facilities in general. Beautiful garden, large pool, a very enjoyable restaurant (where we enjoyed a delicious dinner meal in a very pleasant atmosphere) and a reserved beach are with direct access to it (btw, beautiful spot). Comfortable room with a lots of natural light, a balcony and a few amenities that really made the difference. The breakfast was very complete and satisfying. Out of curiosity, they had fichi d’India for breakfast (Barbary Figs), which is a delicious Cactus fruit very abundant in the region. Despite its abundance, it’s quite rare to see it available in Hotel units and restaurants, because its harvest and preparation can be quite hazardous because of the thorns of the cactus and the fruit itself. I guess that by providing this delicious food amongst very many other options, this is one of the many ways the hotel found to show their guests they care.

United KingdomGym needs some minimal investment. Some large fans for the heat. Heavier weights. Maybe a Concept2 Rowing machine. Only one odd moment. At breakfast staff (correctly) announced serving was stopping at 10h30. No problem. But a plate holding meat to distract wasps was abruptly cleared away at that time. Result? We were confronted by a mini swarm of 20-30 slightly miffed wasps next to our table and had to leave hurriedly. Not joined up thinking on that one lads. Otherwise- hotel is totally excellent.
Location, friendly staff. Beautiful hotel with great views of the water. Huge pool. Close to a nice beach. Loved it.

South AfricaWe had initially booked the two-bedroom villa. The two bedroom villa is a DISASTER, it is clear that this villa is an older development compared to the main hotel. It does not share the same views as the hotel. It is also quite a distant from the actual main hotel premises. There are many steps to get to the villa and you will definitely not feel like you're part of the hotel and it is unclear how you will be serviced if staying there e.g. ordering anything to room service would be very challenging. I think it is important for people who choose this option to know exactly what they're getting into. It was clear on checking in that it was not going to be workable because one of may travel partners was on crutches. The hotel staff did make a plan and fortunately the hotel was not full at the time of our arrival and they were able to provide another suitable option. If the hotel were full or my friend was not somewhat incapacitated, it would've been interesting to see how they would've solved the issue as staying in that villa was completely out of the question. The pictures on both the booking.com site and the hotel's website do not represent accurately what you get. The rooms are very small and very dated and for the premium price that you pay for the villa, it is certainly not up to standard.
The stay at L'Ea Bianca was very pleasant, breakfast had a great selection and was well presented, the staff was very accommodating with my travel mate who was on crutches and had limited mobility. The room we landed up staying in was very comfortable and a good size after the two bedroom villa we had booked proved to be inadequate. The access to what feels like a private beach is nice and we especially enjoyed the Lunaria Beach Club restaurant and a special mention goes to the manager of that restaurant, who was delightful and friendly.

PortugalEverything was perfect.
We stayed at L'ea Bianca for a week and it was wonderful. The hotel is a small luxury five star with huge and well kept gardens, with direct access to the beach. The surroundings are very quiet, looking around you can only see the beautiful and typical Sardinian landscape, the beach and stunning views on the bay. Our room, overlooking the sea, and a small private garden, was beautiful, quiet and with a simple but very welcoming decor. Breakfast was very good, as well as the other meals we had in the restaurant, Italian food with a touch of modern cuisine, very well executed. Last but not least, the staff are, without exception, very attentive and helpful, always with a smile on their face and a kind word.

United KingdomCan't think of anything we didn't like. The property is quite isolated so a car is useful to visit the local area, but if the weather is nice you have everything you need at the hotel and have no need to go out.
The hotel is beautiful and ALL the staff were exceptionally helpful. We stayed on a half-board basis and the meals were excellent. We were upgraded to a room with a garden which we enjoyed. The pool, grounds and beach area are all very well maintained and we didn't see another hotel which came anywhere close to the standards at L'Ea Bianca. A very restful place to stay.

SwitzerlandSuper friendly and professional team, especially the reception ladies, Monica and Christiane (both), who never seemed too busy to help with different questions and it felt like they really love their work. Patricia at the Bar was super, friendly and never tired to go the extra mile. Certainly was also the team in the Restaurant super. The breakfast buffet is a mix between sweet and salty dishes and the coffee how it is expected in Italy. Dinner at the restaurant is gourmet and 5 star - very delicious and creative
