Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

United KingdomNothing to be fair, one instance a lady came to the apartment to drop something, we weren’t told beforehand and she knocked then instantly started to unlock the door from her side, only reason it’s a bit meh because I could’ve been showering and not heard it or who knows, I then opened the door, lady looked surprised and simply said toilet paper then left quickly, I am unsure if that’s the reason she was there as there were already 3 rolls in the bathroom so it seemed a tiny bit strange. This could’ve went worse if I wasn’t ready and in the room but other than that, everything else was good.
Amazing location, and you could go in and out on your time as the whole apartment was cut off for a one way access with no other apartments around it.

Very nice appartment, very centrally located, right next to Duomo. If you arrive by car you need to park at port and walk around 5 mins as the appartment is in the pedestrian zone. We were there in April, out of the peak season, so the park place was not full and it was safe. The owner of the appartment, Simone, was very helpful and provided all information needed. We had also breakfast in the price of the room (criossant and coffee/tea/cappucino) which was served in the cafe next door. The appartment itself is spacious, clean. Comfortable beds, big bathroom. It was a pleasant experience and would definitelly come back again. Recommended.

United StatesOverall there was nothing bad at all. The only thing we had that was a negative was that one of the bathroom switches controlled the all of the living room lights. The first night, a few of us accidentally turned the lights by accident wakikg everyone up while trying to use the toilet. Perhaps they should consider labeling it so it doesn’t happen to others.
Location was excellent, very centrally located in a nice area of town. The unit was very clean and comfortable linens and bedding. They accommodated us with an early check in. Be prepared to walk 10 mins with your luggage from the parking they recommend (but you will have that with any rental in the old town). Overall this was a great unit and I would return again.

Simone was very helpful - especially when we accidentally locked our keys inside. For an excellent meal, book Garibaldie restaurant in advance. ( just around corner from room)
