Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThis is fantastic place to get away from all the bustle and tourists. Situated in an Olive plantation the apartment was comfortable, clean and very nicely presented. The kitchen is well equipped. Shower and bathroom very clean. Plenty of room to sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet. You can eat the figs directly off the trees.

United KingdomWhen I had to leave this place I nearly burst into tears, and thought I might chain myself to the nearest olive tree and refuse to go! It's one of the best places I've ever stayed. My partner and I and another couple stayed and had a house each so that we both had bedrooms "under the cone". These historic houses have been restored and done up by Aldo, the owner, to a very high standard and with a lot of thought e.g. the fact that the bedrooms are under the cone in all three of the houses there. They are beautiful. They are fully equipped with everything you need, comfortable and have lots of outside space. The setting for these houses is in Aldo's olive grove which again is a beautiful peaceful place to be, and to go for a walk in the morning. There are all kinds of other fruit trees too and you can help yourselves as much as you like. The location of this place is near Villa Castelli which isn't one of the tourist towns, but certainly offers all the amenities you need, like shops and a few places to eat within a couple of miles. It is slightly further away from the main tourist towns but only by 5-10 mins which to me was worth it to stay somewhere so amazing. Aldo the owner is lovely and will help with anything you need. You need a car to get out and about and I recommend taking some mosquito spray.

South AfricaThere are security cameras surrounding all outside areas of the house / patio, and for the future swimming pool. It gave the impression that this was to watch the guests (to not break things?) rather than for security purposes - since there were no cameras watching the car, or at the entry gate. Would recommend removing or repositioning the cameras if possible. There are very bright spotlights on the Trulli at night which you can't turn off, and large industrial powerlines over the property - both of which took away from the natural feel of the property.
Really impressive Trulli, with extensive space and remained very pleasant in 35C+ heat. Very clean and comfortable, and well stocked with coffee and breakfast treats. The property was lovely, with olive trees and rustic feel!
