Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Breakfast very good .. especially the honey and fruits. Staff lovely and friendly and efficient. Best break we have had in years. Will definately be back . We love Italy ..

For a short holiday in early May, we discovered this hotel and were absolutely delighted with it. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the breakfast was perfect. It has an ideal location for long walks on the beach. In May, it was serene, though it might be quite crowded during the summer. The staff were very kind and helpful. We sincerely recommend this hotel.

SwitzerlandIt was not really clean. When we checked in, under the bed were a lot of bread crumbs. So we asked the cleaning lady to take care of it. The next day, the crumbs were away, but under the curtain (which was too long) were even more dirt. In the bathroom, the shower is to small and has no possibility to put the shampoo. You have to put it on the floor of the shower. In the breakfast room, we were seated both times on a dirty table, childrens seat full of marmelade.
Very friendly stuff, very helpful. Although the room was small, it had a quite spacious balcony with view to the sea. Also, we did get a voucher for an umbrella and "sdraie"

SwitzerlandBreakfast was very plain. Cheese and meat shared a platter, making it unsuitable for vegetarians. Hotel tried to overcharge by EUR 20. Bathroom may have had modern fittings, but had stains everywhere. We booked a room with sea view but only had a side view. Hotel wasn't worth the money.
