Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI'm really just nit-picking for the sake of finding something to say. My bed was on an iron sprung frame, which while it looks classy, is a bit noisy when you turn over during the night (although it was certainly comfortable), I'd also have appreciated the choice of a hard or soft pillow. I found all the hotel pillows in all but one of the four hotels I stayed in in this trip to be really hard. But overall, this was a great hotel that I would certainly choose again.
Located just a 2 minute walk from Pisa train station, the accommodation is at first sight quite striking with a boutique feel. The single room I stayed in was large and comfortable, with a desk for working from a computer. The in-room wifi was excellent. The bathroom was modern, and the shower very good. The pre-check-in instructions were very clear, and although it did look complex in the message, when you see the property, everything was very straightforward. All the doors were operated by mobile phone, and everything worked really easily. Breakfast was OK, and served in a small room round one table, so you are eating with the other guests, which was quite nice. There's a limited range, but basically fine. Overall, this was a really nice place, and I would definitely recommend for both a short and longer stay.

United StatesAn easy walk from the main train station across a nice square. The room had everything we needed for a quick one night stay to see the Tower (30min walk). We didn't spend much time here as it was a short layover for us, but it was nice to see the top of the tower from our window when we woke up the next morning. Would definitely recommend.

Lithuania- Not a very safe neighborhood. Like all neighborhoods near stations. In the evening, it's better not to stick your nose outside. - It's not so easy to unlock the door to your room. The electronic lock looks too wobbly. But maybe it is supposed to be like that. - There are no glasses or cups in the room. - There is only one chair in a double room. - There is a bedside lamp, but no socket near bed to plug it in. - Noisy. No sound insulation. From 6:30 AM, you can hear the city's garbage truck outside. - Fascist ruZZian flag in the lobby.
- Train station is a few minutes' walk on foot. This is the main reason why we chose this place, as we had an early train the next morning. - Shared bathroom, but clean enough. There is a separate shower and a separate bath. - There is no need to contact anyone. Self check in and check out.

United KingdomNothing. Could be good to put directions on how to find the property from the station since it is close enough but Google maps sometimes can lead you astray and we were walking with heavy bags we could have been there quicker we walked twice as far as we needed to.
Close to station when you have heavy bags and it is very hot outside.

United KingdomWe were never given a WiFi password. There was no hot water. At first reception told us it couldn’t be fixed, however they message to say it had been fixed later that night.
Close to the train station and walking distance to Leaning Tower of Pisa. Room was very spacious and clean. We liked the balcony and quirky decor. Keyless entry was easy to use with very clear instructions.

IrelandFirst of all, don't forget to check in the day before; otherwise, the owner won't send you the check-in information until it's done, which was frustrating as they were "travelling" all day and didn't reply to us until the afternoon, causing a bit of stress. I will admit I checked in the morning, so just make sure you don't forget; otherwise, the staff were nice. The air conditioning was really musty, so we could not use it, there was no curtain on the shower, so you would make a mess in the bathroom and the bed was just not that great, to be honest. Lastly, you are next to the street, so the noise travels into the room a bit. Overall, not really worth it unless you have breakfast, I would argue.
The location was definitely convenient, being so near the train station and it's about a 15-20 minute walk to Pisa Tower. The breakfast was definitely worth while for €5pp. The room itself is nice, but the reviews were a lot better than the stay. I would only recommend for 1 night, not more.
