Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt wasn't really a hotel, it was a few rooms within an apartment building. Newly remodeled & clean rooms, but don't expect a traditional hotel experience - no lobby or common/gathering space or seating area or a traditional "check in desk." I enjoy the interactive hotel experience and this wasn't that - it was simply a nice, clean place to sleep.
It was the most bare bones "hotel" that I've ever experienced! It was fine for one night as a "stopping point" before we flew out of Rome after staying in Sorrento, but I would not have been happy if this had been my hotel for longer than a night. It was nothing more than a bed, tiny bathroom, and TV. I guess there was a communal espresso pod machine, too. Fine for what it was, definitely nothing special.

CanadaWe were missing toilet paper one day - not replenished. The room was a bit noisy from outside sirens and cars. We only got 2 thin pillows. The shower did not have a place to hold soap - had to put it on the floor. Water pressure was not great.
Great location, walking distance from Coloseum and Trevi Fountain. Very secure, safe location. Staff was friendly, helpful and booked a taxi for us to go to the ariport.

United StatesThey put us in a room with a sofa pullout which was unacceptable. Even worse the mattress was shot. I went back down to the Desk person and demanded a room with an actual bed. She called her boss and they changed us to an actual hotel room with decent bed. It was a just a hassle all around.
Front desk lady was a very nice person.

FranceKitchen is very dirty and their outside veranda. VERY! No hot water on our first night but that didn’t really bother me.
Best location to get to see the city by foot. Safe area and it takes only 15 minutes walk to Trevi Fountain and 15-20 mins walk to Colosseo and more. Grateful to the hotel’s Front Desk ALESSANDRA . She went out and beyond just to help us with our Pick Up ,taxi around the city etc. It’s a 2* hotel but with their services at the hotel, it didn’t feel like it.

BulgariaOur room did not have any view and was a bit dark.
The location was great, the staff - super friendly. We walked from Termini to the hotel. Plenty of restaurants near the hotel and a bus stop just around the corner. The room was clean and the AC was working, also had a small fridge, kettle and small espresso machine. There is a small "kitchen" near the reception where is the coffee machine, also croissants, cornflakes and biscuits and a fridge with milk and beverages.

AustraliaAs explained above, but if the aircon was working I would say good value for money.
The room we booked had an issue with the air conditioning and it was super hot on our first night, hardly slept it was so hot, we spoke to three different staff members and eventually got changed rooms to a better upgraded room which was very appreciated. So didn’t start out well but thankful for the room change. Room was clean and well equipped with a full size hairdryer. Also our first room had a round bed? Which wasn’t in the photos, not great for a tall person, maybe request a room with a normal bed. On check out the staff member let us leave out bags for the day until out flight :)

BrazilThe window has curtains that make it difficult to open the window and may come loose from its fitting. The elevator is typical of old buildings, but it works well (it only fits one person with suitcases or two people without objects)
Hotel is close to Roma Termini train station, you can walk with suitcases without any major difficulties. The bed is comfortable and so is the bathroom. The hotel is adequately cleaned and towels are changed every day! The biggest highlight is the air conditioning, an essential item if you travel in the summer, due to the high temperatures. It is very easy to get around Rome and the hotel is close to several tourist attractions. There is also a restaurant next to the hotel that is worth it.

AustraliaLike most apartment living, it was loud. We could hear crying babies and barking dogs from other rooms, as well as general traffic noise. This often lead to us waking up overnight. Also, better signage outside would be helpful as it was a bit difficult to locate (just look for the big wooden door).
Perfect location, short walk to both the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum. There was a supermarket and bus stop nearby, as well as the metro train. The room was spacious, our bed was a bit hard but still ok to sleep in. The bathrooms were nice and clean, with the shower in a separate room to the toilet, and the room was cleaned during our stay where we were given fresh towels. There was great storage in the room too, but would benefit from a few extra towel hooks. The lift was helpful as we had suitcases, and the property was very secure. Would stay here again.
