Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaProbs with lock on the door of my room - I arrived & was in & completely unpacked & tried to leave & it became clear the door wasn’t going to lock behind me (which I would not have realised had I not checked it.) So they sent someone with a physical key - & it wouldn’t work either 😳 So the best option was to move rooms. It wasn’t far but still annoying as it meant I didn’t get anywhere to eat dinner before things were closing. The bellboy offered to help - but I’d unpacked & it ended up just moving things in clumps. Bad start to the stay but it improved.
Great decor & good location. Staff were very friendly & helpful - particularly the night staff. Breakfast was plentiful & diverse & the wait stuff were just lovely. I was very impressed with how many of them spoke multiple languages 😊.

From the time we checked in to the time we departed and staff put our bags in the taxi, it could not have been a better experience. Staff was attentive. Property very clean as it just opened in 2024. The breakfast was excellent and kitchen staff was wonderful. This stay was a pure delight. The location was near, Duomo, Academia, Central Market and several good restaurants.

We had an amazing time in Room Mate Luca. The bed was so comfortable The breakfast buffet was delicious, and variety of choices. The staff were attentive and went out their way to ensure we were comfortable, especial mention to Enrida, Augusto, Aman, Francisco and Davide.The only disappointing thing was the lighting of the room and hall way.Other than that, I can’t fault the place and will definitely go back😊

The hotel was great, located close to the main attractions plus close to the main train station. Hotel facilities were great, and the breakfast options are excellent. The room cleaning service was also excellent and was done each day. There was a slight issue with the air conditioning one day; however the staff provide a fan until issue was resolved. We would highly recommend this hotel and would visit again when travelling to Florence.

Lovely hotel and friendly reception staff. Davide in particular, was really helpful with tips and asking how the day had gone. As a solo traveller, it’s nice when the hotel staff make an effort to ask how your trip is going. Got upgraded for a cheap price which was great. Families exactly as advertised and comfy beds. Close to the centre and the train station, with everything within walking distance. Breakfast was very limited for me as a vegetarian, but plenty of pastries etc to stock up on to keep me going. Shame there was not really many hot vegetarian breakfast options I’ll definitely stay again

United KingdomWe pid to upgrade to a larger room due to our room having a leak in the shower and it was quite small. The staff offered to fix the leak straight away but we fancied a bigger room on the quieter side of the hotel (away from the main road) anyway!
Excellent location and a beautifully designed hotel! The staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. They were always happy to help and spoke very good English. The breakfast was very good and catered for our needs. Thank you Room Mate Luca!
